In the past, rural roads were unpaved, and a single passing car would raise so much dust that visibility was lost. However, thanks to the development of asphalt from oil byproducts, our national and local roads are now paved, preventing dust, even with thousands of vehicles passing daily. While exhaust fumes are present, the absence of dust is a significant improvement .

Our ancestors endured dusty paths, but we now travel on well-maintained roads provided by the nation, cities, and provinces. This is a profound reason for constant gratitude, even when simply walking or driving. When I attended school, buses would kick up clouds of dust, but now we have excellent roads. This realization should evoke a sense of thankfulness .

It is crucial not to forget this. We should first acknowledge the efforts of sanitation workers who clean the roads, those who paint road markings, and those who repair the asphalt, providing us with dust-free paths. In earlier times, traveling to places like Jinju by bus on gravel roads was a bumpy and arduous experience. We often fail to recognize these conveniences .

Consider the simple act of turning on a faucet to get water. In the past, people had to draw water from wells, often with great difficulty, especially in harsh weather. Now, water flows readily, making life much easier. This, too, is a cause for gratitude . From the moment we wake up until we arrive here, there are hundreds of reasons to be thankful. Focusing on these blessings invigorates us .

Our ancestors and countless public servants worked tirelessly to establish the infrastructure that provides us with tap water. This, too, is a source of immense gratitude. Indeed, from the moment we open our eyes, we are surrounded by reasons to be thankful. We live indebted to the efforts of others .

When we ride in a car, we should appreciate the countless individuals involved in its creation: the assembly line workers, the metallurgists who melt and shape the steel for the car’s body. A car embodies the hard work of many. Similarly, observing the roads and asphalt should inspire gratitude. Even at rest stops, food is prepared and waiting, and water flows freely from taps. These are continuous blessings .

This continuous chain of gratitude culminates in our presence before the Holiest. Our journey here, perhaps taking ten hours, was significantly shortened by the automobile, another reason for thanks . Understanding the abundance of reasons for gratitude can prevent illness, specifically cancer. Those who remain unaware of these blessings, despite healthy eating and exercise, may still develop cancer. Acknowledging gratitude is a powerful preventative measure; ignorance of it can lead to disease .

2. The Interplay of Spiritual Entities: Angels, Demons, and Human Development
   We often speak of spiritual entities, such as demons, moving among us, though they are invisible to most. Only those who are spiritually sensitive may perceive them. However, these entities are fully aware of us, observing our lives and understanding our inner states .

As discussed previously, these entities, including demons, can sometimes offer assistance. Angels also help us. Both angels and demons coexist and interact with humanity. They recognize each other, understanding their respective natures . Angels and demons possess similar powers, but demons are created to serve a specific purpose: to administer divine judgment .

Demons are akin to individuals who have committed transgressions and are undergoing a process of divine retribution. They are free to roam as spiritual entities, even entering human beings. For instance, a demon approached Jesus, tormenting him for forty days, testing his resolve. Jesus, however, rejected these temptations, stating, “Do not put the Holiest to the test” .

Demons can approach even virtuous individuals, including myself. However, they cannot approach the Holiest when the Holiest is present in human form, as was not the case during Jesus’s time. Thus, Jesus had to endure demonic trials .

Demons represent the challenges and difficulties we face. For students, the demon manifests as the pressure of examinations, such as the college entrance exam. Teachers, in a sense, embody this demonic force when they present tests, instilling fear. This is because demons are necessary to test individuals .

When a person is destined to become an excellent spouse or parent, demons will appear to test them. They provoke misunderstandings between couples. If, in such a situation, a husband refrains from retaliating despite provocation, the demon will retreat, defeated. This is analogous to passing a difficult examination. Demons relentlessly test us by creating misunderstandings .

Angels, unlike demons, do not enter individuals without the explicit command of the Holiest. They only enter when instructed. Angels also oppose the actions of demons . It might seem that demons are given more authority, but their authority lies in testing. We must overcome these demonic tests with the assistance of angels . Angels do not simply defeat demons; they empower us to overcome demonic trials .

The existence of both demons and angels is essential for human progress. Without them, humanity would not evolve. Demons are given to us for this purpose . In society, what constitutes a demon? Alcohol, tobacco, and certain establishments can be seen as demonic industries. We should strive to avoid them .

However, sometimes our homes are located past such establishments. This is the reality of life. While some manage to avoid these temptations, others succumb, hindering their spiritual advancement. They may be trapped in a cycle of suffering for thousands of years, requiring further spiritual training .

Both angels and demons exist in an ethereal state, invisible to the human eye. However, angels are directly controlled by the Holiest, whereas demons possess a degree of freedom within their designated authority. Angels are not free to act independently; they are immediately controlled. We do not control demons, but the Holiest can command them to depart .

Demons cannot harm the Holiest because the Holiest created them. The Holiest can command them to go to the realm of demons or spirits. If all demons were to disappear from Earth, how would evil individuals be tested? Therefore, they are allowed to remain .

May the five angels enter all people, bringing health and prosperity. May all family issues be resolved, real estate problems be cleared, and legal disputes be swiftly settled for those involved .

차를 타면 현대자동차에서 자동차를 조립하는 사람들의 노고가 담겨 있습니다. 덩어리를 만드는 제철소에서 쇠를 녹이는 사람들의 고생이 자동차 철판에 녹아 있습니다. 수많은 사람의 고생이 담긴 차를 타는 것도 고마운 일입니다. 도로와 아스팔트를 봐도 고맙습니다. 휴게소에 가면 음식을 해놓고 기다리고 있고, 수도물을 틀면 물이 나옵니다. 이 모든 것이 고마운 일의 연속입니다. 신인 앞에 왔을 때는 가장 큰 고마움을 느껴야 합니다. 강제에서 여기까지 빠른 시간에 올 수 있었던 것도 자동차 덕분입니다.

감사하는 마음과 암의 상관관계
우리가 이처럼 고마움이 많다는 것을 알면 암이 생기지 않습니다. 고마움을 모르고 있으면 암이 생깁니다. 아무리 잘 먹고 운동을 해도 고마움을 모르는 사람은 암이 생깁니다. 고마운 줄만 알면 암이 생기지 않습니다. 고마움을 모르기 때문에 암이 생기는 것입니다. 똑같은 환경에 있어도 고마워하는 사람은 암이 피해 가고, 고마운 것을 모르고 불편을 계속 느끼면 암이 생깁니다.

천사와 마귀, 그리고 인간의 발전
