시간의 가치: 공간을 초월한 존재의 의미
반갑습니다. 대한민국에 잘 오신 것이 확실합니다. 우리는 이곳에서 우리나라를 충분히 오갈 수 있는 공간에 있습니다. 만약 양만 있다면 힘들겠지만, 이곳은 아주 가깝고 좋습니다.
그러나 인간은 공간에서 공간으로만 이동합니다. 광주에서 서울, 부산에서 서울 등으로 이동하면 하루가 지나갑니다. 공간에서 공간으로 이동하는 것은 맞지만, 아무리 이동하고 안 하고 관계없이 흘러가는 것이 바로 시간입니다. 가만히 앉아 있어도 시간은 흘러갑니다. 여러분에게 공간은 아무 가치가 없습니다. 시간이 가치가 있는 것입니다. 부모들이 공간을 이야기하는 것을 본 적이 있습니까? 시간을 지나버리면 기회가 없어집니다. 그 시간에 어디 있었는지, 어디서 시간을 보냈는지를 하늘에서 따집니다. 미국에 살았는지, 한국에 살았는지는 따지지 않습니다. 어느 공간에 있든 그 사람이 시간을 어디에 보냈는지를 따지는 것입니다.
부모님이 미국에 있고, 한국 요양원에 계신 어머니가 있다고 가정해 봅시다. 외아들이 시간을 어떻게 보냈는지를 따지는 것입니다. 미국에 있었다고 불효자가 아닙니다. 미국에 있으면서 부모님을 생각하고 시간을 보냈는지, 부모님을 몇 번 생각했는지, 그 부모님과 마주한 시간이 얼마나 되었는지를 하늘에서 따지는 것입니다.
여러분은 청와대라는 공간에 들어가면 출세했다고 생각하지만, 공간은 어디에 있든 관계가 없습니다. 농사를 짓고 있든, 고급 공무원이 되어 대통령이 되든 관계없습니다. 중요한 것은 그 시간을 진정으로 국민을 위해 보냈는지입니다. 시간을 따지는 것입니다.
효의 본질: 마음이 머무는 시간
불효자다, 아니다는 자식이 어디에 있느냐가 중요하지 않습니다. 서울에 있고 부모님은 시골에 있어도, 얼마나 부모님을 생각해서 책상 앞에 앉아 죽기 살기로 공부했는지를 따지는 것입니다. 그런데 같은 어머니와 한 고향에 있으면서 매일 어머니 앞에서 빈둥대고 놀면, 공간은 같이 있었지만 마음은 도시에 가 있었던 것입니다. 시간을 어머니를 위해 쓰지 않았다는 말입니다.
어머니와 떨어져 서울에 있든, 미국에 가 있든, 어머니의 이름을 빛내기 위해 죽으라고 공부했다면 시간을 보낸 것입니다. 시간이 중요합니다. 여러분이 하늘궁에 와 있는 이 시간이 중요하다는 것을 알아야 합니다. 여러분이 하늘궁을 위해 한 시간이라도 보내려면 하늘궁에 와야 제대로 보내는 것입니다. 공간을 보러 온 것이 아니라 시간을 보내러 온 것입니다.
천국 레벨: 시간으로 측정되는 영적 가치
만약 7시에 출발했다면 7시부터는 하늘궁에 온 것으로 간주됩니다. 그 시간을 하늘에서는 레벨로 계산합니다. 7시부터는 하늘에 있는 시간으로, 천국 시간으로 계산해 주는 것입니다. 공간은 광주에서 출발했지만, 그때부터 시간이 계산됩니다. 하늘은 시간을 계산하고 공간은 계산하지 않습니다.
여러분들이 얼마나 백궁 레벨을 올리느냐는 시간을 어디서 보내느냐에 달려있습니다. 하늘궁을 출발해서 고속도로에 있어도 그것은 하늘에 있는 시간으로 계산됩니다. 집에 가서 밤 10시에 도착했다면 그때까지 하늘에, 백궁 천국에 있었던 시간으로 계산해 주는 것입니다.
성공한 자는 언제나 공간에서 시간으로 이동합니다. 그러나 어리석은 자는 공간에서 공간만 이동합니다. 그것이 망한 사람입니다. 교회라는 공간으로 들어갔다고 해서 하늘에서 인정하는 시간이 아닙니다. 공간만 이동했을 뿐입니다. 신인이 있는 이 백천을 위해 움직이는 그것이 시간이지, 밥 먹기 위해 뛰어다니는 것은 시간이 아니라 공간입니다.
어리석은 자는 공간에서 공간으로만 바쁩니다. 그러나 여러분은 공간에서 시간으로 가는 존재들입니다. 이 이야기는 매우 깊은 의미를 담고 있습니다. 여러분에게 조금씩 가르쳐 주어 차원을 높이려고 합니다. 이제 여러분이 하늘에 오겠다고 집에서부터 출발하는 시간이 천국의 레벨에 들어가는 시간입니다. 밥 먹는 시간, 화장실 가는 시간도 천국에서 계산하는 시간에 포함됩니다. 웃고 있는 시간도 모두 계산됩니다.
성공의 비결: 시간을 소중히 여기는 습관
성공하는 자는 공간에서 시간으로 이동하는 자입니다. 언제나 시간을 소중히 생각하는 버릇을 가져야 합니다. 학교에 있는데 마음은 공부에 없고 공간에만 있는 경우가 있습니다. “나 학교 왔어”라고 어머니께 말하는 것은 공간에 있는 자입니다.
그러나 “나는 학교에 왔으니 여기서 어머니 아버지의 명예를 위해 공부해야 해. 친구 하나라도 귀하게 새겨야 하고, 내 입에서 나가는 말 한마디는 적어도 예수님 말씀 정도는 해야 해”라고 생각하는 사람은 시간을 보내는 자입니다. 욕을 하거나 함부로 말하는 것은 공간을 보내는 자의 행동입니다. 시간을 보내는 자는 그런 말을 쓰지 않습니다.
“나는 학교에 왔지만 이곳은 부모님께 효도하기 위해 반드시 거쳐가야 하는 곳이야. 나는 여기서 친구에게 말 한마디도 예수님처럼 하고, 부처님 같은 말을 하고, 부모님을 위해 효자가 되려면 선생님들께 예절을 배우고, 공부 열심히 하고, 아이들에게는 좋은 말로 복을 쌓아야겠다”라고 생각하는 것이 바로 시간입니다. 그 시간을 깨달아야 합니다. 수업 시간과 노는 시간만 계산하며 공간에만 머무는 것은 감옥에 있는 것과 같습니다. 시간의 중요성을 알아야 합니다.
백궁의 차원: 공간이 아닌 시간의 세계
백궁은 공간으로 따지는 세계가 아니라 시간으로 따지는 세계입니다. 여러분은 공간으로 천국에 간다기보다는 시간으로 이미 천국에 도달해 있다고 생각해야 합니다. 그런 행동을 해야 합니다. “천국 가서 천국 사람처럼 행동할 거예요”라고 하지 말고, 지금부터 세련되게, 백궁에 있는 사람의 우아한 모습을 얼굴에 담아야 합니다. 그렇게 하면 나중에 숙달될 것입니다. 시간과 공간의 차이가 이렇게 어마어마합니다.
정말 공부하기 싫어 학교를 다니는 것은 공간적 요소에 불과합니다. 그러나 시간을 따지는 사람은 그 시간이 아깝습니다. 선생님께 꾸지람 듣는 시간도 공부 시간에 아깝습니다. 그러니 앞으로는 꾸지람 듣지 않도록 모범적으로 행동해야 합니다. 한 시간 동안 꾸지람을 들으면 공부를 못 하기 때문입니다.
하나님 없는 감옥: 영적 공허의 공간
옛날 수도원에는 ‘하나님 없는 감옥’이라는 곳이 있었습니다. 신부가 잘못을 하면 수도원장이 그곳에 가두는데, 그곳은 하나님이 없는 감옥이라고 불렸습니다. 바깥에는 다 하나님이 계시지만, 그곳에만 들어가면 하나님이 없습니다. 수도사들이 하나님 없는 방에 들어가는 것을 좋아할 리 없습니다.
신학교 신학생들이나 목사들도 그런 ‘하나님 없는 공간’에 들어갔던 경험이 있습니다. 잘못한 것이 있으면 그곳에 가서 하루나 이틀 머물다 나옵니다. 학생들이 욕을 하면 그곳에 들어갑니다. 그곳에서는 기도도 할 수 없습니다. 하나님이 없는 곳이기 때문입니다. 그곳은 신학교 기숙사 지하실의 컴컴한 구석진 방에 있습니다. 독방에 가서 있으라는 것입니다. 수도사들도 마찬가지로 하나님 없는 방을 무서워합니다.
그곳에서 나오면 너무나 좋은 것입니다. 이곳은 하나님이 있는 곳이기 때문입니다. 하나님이 없다고 생각하면 기분이 좋을 리 없습니다.
백궁 레벨 상승: 하늘궁을 향한 시간 투자
여러분은 고속도로를 오는 중에도 이미 백궁에 가 있는 것입니다. 하늘을 향해 백궁으로 가고 있는 것을 연습하는 것입니다. 백궁은 그 백궁 시간에 꽂혀 있습니다.
이것을 모르고 끌려오는 사람도 있습니다. 그러나 데려오는 사람은 이미 레벨이 올라가고 있습니다. “한번 가보자”라고 오는 사람은 하늘의 백궁에 있는 것이 아닙니다. “거기 가서 뭐 하는지 한번 봐야지”라고 오는 것입니다. 그러나 데려오는 사람은 이미 백궁 레벨이 올라가고 있습니다. 여러분이 이렇게 하늘궁에 오는 것을 보면 참 레벨을 많이 쌓고 공을 많이 짓고 있다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.
나중에 중심에서는 제가 개미처럼 보일 것입니다. 중간에 텔레비전이 있어서 그 텔레비전을 봐야 할 것입니다. 얼굴은 보이지 않을 정도로 멀리 떨어져 있을 것입니다. 180m 정도 떨어져서 저를 봐야 하니 거리가 매우 멀 것입니다. 20m 거리에서도 얼굴이 보이는데, 180m나 200m 거리에서는 보이지 않을 것입니다. 그때는 중간 텔레비전이 있을 것입니다.
오늘 제가 이야기하는 것은 시간이 공간을 지배한다는 것입니다. 이 시간은 가치가 있는 시간입니다. 지금 저와 대화하는 시간이 그렇습니다. 그러나 공간에는 특별한 가치가 없습니다. 우리는 항상 시간을 중요하게 여겨야 합니다. 그래야 이 지구 시간을 벗어날 수 있습니다.
부산, 대구, 광주 같은 곳에 매달리지 마십시오. 그곳에 있어도 하늘에 있어야 합니다. 레벨을 올리고 있어야 합니다. 누군가를 만나 하늘궁 이야기를 하면 하늘에 있는 것입니다. 그러나 남편과 재미있는 이야기만 하고 있으면 그것이 하늘궁에 있는 시간일까요? 아닙니다. 누군가에게 전도하고, 하늘 이야기를 하고, 천사를 축복받으라고 하고, 성령이 최고라고 이야기하면 하늘에 있는 레벨이 올라가는 것입니다. 한 명도 데려오지 못해도 그 대화한 시간은 레벨이 올라갑니다.
여러분에게 레벨이 올라갈 기회가 없다는 말은 잘못된 것입니다. 이곳에 와서 이것을 안 해도 레벨은 올라갑니다. 시간을 보내면 레벨이 올라갑니다. 그만큼 제주도 있습니다.

The divine judgment, therefore, scrutinizes how one utilizes their time, not their geographical whereabouts .
Consider a scenario where a child resides in America while their parent is in a nursing home in Korea . The divine inquiry is not about the child’s physical presence in America, but rather how that child allocated their time . Did they spend their time contemplating their parents, and how frequently did such thoughts occupy their mind? What was the duration of their conscious engagement with their parents, even if only in thought? This is the metric by which Heaven evaluates filial piety . Similarly, entering a prestigious space like the Blue House does not inherently signify success . One’s location, whether farming or serving as a high-ranking official, is inconsequential . The critical question is whether the time spent in that role was genuinely dedicated to the welfare of the nation .
Filial piety is not determined by a child’s proximity to their parents . A child in Seoul, whose parents reside in the countryside, demonstrates filial devotion by diligently studying to honor their parents, even if physically separated . Conversely, a child who idles in the same hometown as their mother, though sharing the same space, may have their mind preoccupied with urban life, thus failing to dedicate their time to their mother . Whether physically distant in Seoul or America, a child who studies assiduously to bring honor to their mother is effectively dedicating their time to her . This underscores the paramount importance of time .
The Significance of Time Spent at the Heavenly Palace
The time spent at the Heavenly Palace is profoundly significant . To genuinely dedicate time to the Heavenly Palace, one must physically be present . The purpose of visiting is not merely to observe the physical space, but to invest one’s time . From the moment one departs for the Heavenly Palace, say at 7 AM, that time is immediately recognized and calculated by Heaven as time spent in the celestial realm . Heaven calculates one’s spiritual level based on this dedicated time, not on the physical distance traveled . The elevation of one’s Baekgung (Heavenly Palace) level is directly proportional to where one chooses to spend their time . Even time spent traveling on the highway en route to the Heavenly Palace is accounted for as time in Heaven . Upon returning home at 10 PM, all the intervening hours are considered time spent in the celestial Baekgung .
Successful individuals transition from a focus on space to a focus on time . In contrast, the foolish remain preoccupied with merely moving between spaces, which ultimately leads to their downfall . Entering a church, for instance, is merely a spatial transition and is not recognized by Heaven as valuable time . True valuable time is that which is dedicated to the divine being (Shin-in) and the Baekgung . Running around for mundane activities like eating is merely spatial movement, not the meaningful allocation of time . The foolish are perpetually busy with spatial movements, whereas those who understand spiritual principles transition from space to time . This profound truth is gradually revealed to elevate one’s spiritual dimension .
From the moment one embarks from home with the intention of coming to Heaven, that time begins to accrue towards their celestial level . Even time spent eating or in the restroom is calculated as time within the celestial realm . Even moments of joy and laughter are accounted for . Understanding this principle is crucial . Thus, those who succeed are those who transition their focus from space to time . It is imperative to cultivate the habit of valuing time .
The Distinction Between Spatial Presence and Temporal Engagement
Consider a student physically present at school, yet whose mind is not engaged in study . Such a person is merely occupying space . Conversely, a student who recognizes that their presence at school is an opportunity to honor their parents through diligent study, to cultivate valuable friendships, and to speak with the wisdom of a spiritual master like Jesus, is truly engaging with time . Using vulgar language, for example, indicates a focus on mere spatial presence rather than a conscious allocation of time . Those who truly value time would refrain from such speech .
A student who views school as a necessary path to honor their parents, who practices respectful etiquette with teachers, studies diligently, and speaks kindly to peers to accumulate blessings, is truly utilizing their time effectively . However, many only perceive time in terms of class schedules versus playtime, remaining confined to a spatial understanding, akin to being in a prison . It is essential to grasp the importance of time . The Baekgung is not a realm defined by space but by time . Therefore, rather than aspiring to reach Heaven through spatial movement, we are already spiritually present in Heaven through our temporal actions . This understanding necessitates a refined and elegant demeanor, reflecting the grace of those who reside in the celestial realm . Through consistent practice, this demeanor becomes ingrained .
The difference between time and space is immense . A student who dislikes studying and neglects school is merely occupying space . However, a person who values time recognizes its preciousness . Even time spent being reprimanded by a teacher is valuable study time . Such an individual would strive to avoid future reprimands to conserve time for study, understanding that an hour of scolding is an hour lost for learning . They would act exemplarily .
The Concept of a “Godless Prison” and Spiritual Awareness
Historically, some monasteries had a concept of a “Godless prison,” a place where God was perceived to be absent . Even seminaries might have such places . If a priest erred, the abbot might confine them to this monastic prison, which was explicitly labeled as a “Godless prison” . While God is omnipresent outside, within this specific space, God was considered absent . Monks and seminarians would naturally find such a place deeply unsettling, as a spiritual practitioner would not wish to be in a room devoid of God’s presence . Some seminarians, who later became pastors, experienced confinement in such “Godless spaces” . These spaces, often located in dark, secluded corners of seminary basements, were places where one could not even pray, as God was deemed absent . The fear of such a “Godless room” was profound for monks . Upon release, the presence of God in the outside world felt overwhelmingly good .
Even while traveling on the highway, one is already spiritually present in the Baekgung, practicing for the celestial realm . The Baekgung is intrinsically linked to this celestial time . Some individuals come to the Heavenly Palace without this awareness, or are brought by others . However, those who bring others are already elevating their spiritual level . Those who come merely out of curiosity to observe are not yet accumulating Baekgung levels . But those who actively bring others are indeed raising their Baekgung level . This indicates that many are accumulating significant spiritual merit .
The Dominance of Time Over Space in Spiritual Value
The core message is that time governs space . The time spent in meaningful interaction, such as this lecture, possesses inherent value . Conversely, space itself holds no special value . Therefore, we must always prioritize time . This understanding allows us to transcend the limitations of earthly time . We should not be fixated on specific locations like Busan, Daegu, or Gwangju . Regardless of physical location, one must remain spiritually connected to Heaven, continuously elevating their level . Engaging in conversations about the Heavenly Palace with others means one is spiritually present in Heaven . However, merely engaging in pleasantries with one’s spouse does not constitute time spent in the Heavenly Palace . Preaching, discussing heavenly matters, encouraging blessings from angels, and emphasizing the supremacy of the Holy Spirit all contribute to elevating one’s spiritual level . Even if one does not convert anyone, the time spent in such conversations still elevates one’s spiritual level . Therefore, the notion that one lacks opportunities to raise their spiritual level is mistaken . Even without physically being at the Heavenly Palace, one’s level can ascend by dedicating time to spiritual pursuits .
