Contrast this with a car dealer who, having made a single sale, remains perpetually grateful, bowing in deference and maintaining contact during holidays. A client is always treated with respect, regardless of their personal failings.

Similarly, a spouse who contributes financially or through household labor is a client. To criticize such a client is to commit a grave error. One should never forget those who provide sustenance, even for a single meal, let alone a lifetime. To disparage a lifelong provider is an egregious transgression. Salespeople do not quarrel with their clients. Therefore, family members should perceive each other as clients, bound by a reciprocal relationship.

To treat one’s spouse with less respect than a business client is a profound misjudgment. A wife who manages the household also contributes financially, as hiring external help would incur significant costs. To disrespect her, especially if she cares for in-laws, is unacceptable. Both husband and wife are clients to each other. Forgetting this principle leads to harsh words, as the assumption that a spouse’s contributions are merely obligatory fosters resentment.
