When he saw David, his eyes were alive. He was humble, and when his father told him to tend the sheep, he would go and do as he was told, silently. Even if he became food for beasts, he would silently follow his father’s orders.
And the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

This excerpt is from a YouTube video of a lecture by Heo Kyung-young, a South Korean politician and spiritual leader, to his followers at “Haneulgung” (Sky Palace) . The main topic is the two human behaviors that “Heaven loves most”: humility and devotion . Heo Kyung-young explains these concepts through biblical stories and personal anecdotes, emphasizing their importance for spiritual growth and receiving blessings .

The Core of Heavenly Favor: Humility and Devotion

Humility: The Foundation of a True Leader
Heo Kyung-young highlights humility as a paramount virtue that heaven values . He uses the biblical story of David’s anointing by Samuel to illustrate how true leadership isn’t about outward appearance or status, but about a humble heart . This perspective challenges conventional notions of success and power, suggesting that inner character is what truly matters to a higher power .

It’s humility and devotion.

The Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

If you make him king, his brothers will boast about him being king. I recognize it at first glance. When I first saw David, his eyes were alive. He was humble, and when his father told him to tend the sheep, he did so silently.

Devotion: Giving Your All
Devotion, or “Heonshin” (헌신), is presented as the active expression of humility, involving the dedication of one’s body, material possessions, and heart (sincerity) . Heo Kyung-young emphasizes that devotion isn’t just about grand gestures, but also about attentiveness and obedience . This broad definition of devotion encourages followers to integrate their spiritual commitment into every aspect of their lives, from daily tasks to artistic expression .

What is ‘Shin’ (헌신)? It means dedicating your body.

Devotion means dedicating your body, dedicating your material possessions, and dedicating your heart. That heart is sincerity.

So, listening carefully to my words is also devotion.

The Power of Words and Music
Heo Kyung-young delves into the profound impact of words and music on one’s destiny . He shares anecdotes of singers whose lives mirrored the themes of their songs, suggesting that what we repeatedly hear and sing can shape our reality . This highlights the importance of choosing uplifting and hopeful messages, as they can positively influence one’s fate and spiritual journey .

Songs are this scary. If you sing a song, it becomes true, just like Kim Jung-ho in the past.

So, if we keep talking about hope, hope arises, and if we keep being discouraged, discouraging things keep happening.

We are riding the Baekgung (Heavenly Palace) train. How happy is that?

This excerpt is from a YouTube video titled “Audience with Newcomer Heo Kyung-young,” featuring Heo Kyung-young, a South Korean politician and spiritual leader, delivering a sermon-like lecture to his followers. The core message revolves around the two virtues heaven loves most: humility and devotion, and how these qualities manifest in human behavior and spiritual growth. Heo Kyung-young uses biblical stories and personal anecdotes to illustrate his points, emphasizing the importance of inner character over outward appearance.

Heaven’s Favorite Virtues

Humility: The Foundation of a Leader
Heo Kyung-young emphasizes that humility is the most crucial trait for a leader, using the biblical story of David’s anointing as king. He highlights how divine wisdom sees beyond superficial appearances to recognize true character. This perspective challenges conventional notions of leadership, suggesting that true power lies in inner meekness and obedience.

The Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

If a king were to be appointed, those brothers would boast about their younger brother being king. I recognized it at first glance. When I saw David at first glance, his eyes were alive. He was humble, and when his father told him to tend the sheep, he would go and do as he was told, even if it meant becoming food for beasts. Isn’t that right?

Devotion: Beyond Mere Respect
Heo Kyung-young distinguishes devotion from simple respect, explaining that true devotion involves a complete offering of oneself—body, material possessions, and heart. This concept is particularly striking because it expands the idea of spiritual commitment beyond mere attendance or verbal affirmation, suggesting a holistic dedication that impacts every aspect of one’s life.

So what needs to be attached here? Devotion. Devotion must be attached.

Devotion, what is it? It means dedicating one’s body.

Devotion means offering your body, offering your material possessions, and offering your heart. That heart is sincerity.

The Power of Song and Destiny
Heo Kyung-young presents a fascinating idea: songs can shape one’s destiny. He cites examples of singers whose lives mirrored the themes of their most famous songs, suggesting that the vibrational energy and repeated affirmation in music can influence reality. This perspective offers a unique take on the power of art and belief, implying that what we consume and express can literally manifest in our lives.

That singers’ destinies end up like their songs. So when we sing “Return Jesus” or other songs we’ve made recently, it happens just as the song says.

So, if you listen to a song often, that song has power. Your destiny follows it exactly.

Divine Perspective on Humanity

Seeing Beyond the Surface
Heo Kyung-young reiterates the divine perspective that heaven judges not by outward appearance but by the inner heart. This is a powerful reminder that true worth is not found in superficial qualities like looks or status, but in one’s character and spiritual core. It encourages a deeper, more empathetic way of seeing others, free from prejudice.

The Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

That’s why you should look at a person’s heart.

No Room for Scorn or Judgment
Heo Kyung-young strongly advises against scorn, judgment, or criticism of others, especially those of different faiths or circumstances. He emphasizes that such negative attitudes hinder one’s own spiritual growth and are contrary to the virtues heaven cherishes. This point is particularly impactful as it promotes tolerance and compassion in a world often divided by beliefs.

Amen, or scorning others, or slandering people of other religions, is not allowed.

You shouldn’t say things like ‘they are this or that’ about those people.

You shouldn’t become a cynic.

This excerpt is from a YouTube video titled “Audience with Newcomer Heo Kyung-young,” featuring Heo Kyung-young himself. In this session, Heo Kyung-young shares his unique spiritual insights and life philosophies, emphasizing the importance of humility and devotion as the two qualities most cherished by “Heaven.” He also delves into the power of songs to shape one’s destiny and offers his interpretations of biblical stories, all while engaging with his audience in a distinctly charismatic and often humorous style .

Heo Kyung-young’s Core Philosophy

The Two Virtues Heaven Loves Most: Humility and Devotion
Heo Kyung-young stresses that humility and devotion are the two most crucial virtues that Heaven values in human behavior. He explains that these qualities are not just about respect, but about a complete dedication of oneself, encompassing one’s body, mind, and even artistic expressions like singing. This perspective is impressive because it offers a clear, actionable framework for spiritual growth, moving beyond abstract concepts to tangible actions .

It’s humility and devotion. Try being humble. Heaven’s words will stick to you. Heaven’s words will stick to you. This means following my words.

You must always keep devotion and humility in mind. When a holy person stands before a holy person, this is the first thing. Who wouldn’t revere a holy person? But I said it’s hard to show proper respect even if you revere them.

What is devotion? It’s the body. It means dedicating your body. You must prioritize this devotion. So, how many aspects does devotion have? Devotion involves dedicating your body, dedicating your material possessions, and dedicating your mind—that mind is sincerity.

The Story of David: A Lesson in Humility
Heo Kyung-young uses the biblical story of David to illustrate the profound importance of humility. He highlights how David, the youngest and seemingly least impressive son, was chosen by God over his older, more outwardly capable brothers because of his humble heart. This reinterpretation of a familiar story is compelling because it emphasizes that true leadership and divine favor are not based on external appearances or societal expectations, but on inner character .

So, a person who is to be a prince, a leader, must be humble. Humble.

Samuel looked closely and thought, “Oh, those are just human bodies, but they’re trash. They’ll torment the youngest their whole lives.”

When he saw David, his eyes were alive. He was humble, and when his father told him to tend the sheep, he would go and do as he was told, silently. Even if he became food for beasts, he would silently follow his father’s orders. Isn’t that right?

And the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

The Power of Songs and Destiny

Songs Shape Destiny
Heo Kyung-young presents a fascinating idea: songs have the power to shape a singer’s destiny. He cites examples of Korean singers like Hyon Mi and Bae Ho, whose lives eerily mirrored the themes of their most famous songs. This concept is thought-provoking because it suggests a profound connection between artistic expression and personal fate, urging listeners to be mindful of the messages they consume and create .

That singers’ destinies end according to their songs. So, when we sing “Return Jesus” or other songs we’ve made recently, it happens just as the song says.

So, if you listen to a song often, that song has power. Your destiny follows it exactly. So, if we keep talking about hope, hope arises, and if we keep being discouraged, discouraging things keep happening.

This person was a genius singer. He made this song as his last and died without even hearing it. So, did his destiny turn out like the song or not? Yes, it did. It’s already done.

Music as a Spiritual Tool
Beyond shaping destiny, Heo Kyung-young views music as a spiritual healing tool. He believes that listening to certain songs can help process emotions, release past burdens, and even aid in the journey to the afterlife. This perspective is compelling as it elevates music from mere entertainment to a powerful medium for emotional and spiritual transformation, aligning with his broader philosophy of holistic well-being .

Here at Haneulgong, I heal you spiritually, but I also heal you with music. With music. When this music plays, if you have beautiful memories from when this song came out, like being betrayed, you should recall them and release them then.

If you keep listening to this, when your breath leaves you, when you pass away—that moment comes without warning. It comes without warning, but you’ll hear this music.

True or False: The speaker states that “blessing” (축복) is the same as “grace” (은총).
(False, The speaker explicitly states that “blessing” is not “grace,” explaining that grace is given without conditions, unlike blessing. A common misconception is that these terms are interchangeable, but the speaker differentiates them based on conditions.)

What is the primary characteristic that God looks for in a person, according to the story of Samuel anointing David?
① Physical appearance and height
② Wealth and social status
③ The inner heart and character
④ Eloquence and public speaking skills
(③ The inner heart and character, God tells Samuel not to look at outward appearance but at the heart, which is exemplified by David’s humility. A common misconception is that external qualities or worldly success are what truly matter to a divine being.)

Fill in the blank: The speaker explains that “devotion” (헌신) involves dedicating one’s body, material possessions, and __.
(mind/sincerity (마음/정성), Devotion is described as a comprehensive dedication of one’s entire being, including physical effort, material resources, and sincere intention. A common misconception is that devotion is only about grand sacrifices, but it also includes sincere effort and mental dedication.)

What does the speaker suggest about the power of songs and music in shaping one’s destiny?
(Songs have a powerful influence on one’s destiny, often leading to outcomes that mirror the song’s themes or lyrics., The speaker cites examples of singers whose lives ended in ways that reflected their most famous songs, emphasizing that music can profoundly influence one’s fate. A common misconception is that music is merely entertainment, but the speaker suggests it has a deeper, almost prophetic, power.)

Intermediate
According to the speaker, what is the difference between 100% obedience and 99% obedience?
(100% obedience implies complete adherence to divine will, while 99% obedience, though seemingly close, still falls short due to a lack of full commitment or understanding., The speaker introduces this distinction to highlight that even a small deviation from complete obedience can be significant in a spiritual context. A common misconception is that “almost perfect” is good enough, but the speaker implies that divine standards require absolute compliance.)

O/X: The speaker implies that those who have received blessings or spiritual power should act superior to those who haven’t.
(False, The speaker explicitly states that those who are blessed should not be arrogant but should view others with compassion and seek to help them. A common misconception is that spiritual attainment grants one the right to judge or dismiss others, but the speaker advocates for humility and service.)

In the story of Samuel anointing David, how did David’s family and brothers initially perceive him, and how did this contrast with Samuel’s perception?
(David’s family and brothers viewed him as insignificant and unfit for leadership, often sending him to tend sheep, while Samuel, guided by divine insight, immediately recognized David’s humble and kingly heart., This contrast highlights the difference between human judgment based on outward appearance and divine judgment based on inner character. A common misconception is that those closest to a person always know their true potential, but often external observers with spiritual insight can see more clearly.)

What is the significance of the definite article “the” (더) when referring to a divine being, according to the speaker?
(The definite article “the” should precede the name of a divine being (e.g., “the Jesus”) to signify their unique and singular status, differentiating them from common nouns which might take “a.”, The speaker explains this grammatical rule as a mark of respect and recognition of divine uniqueness. A common misconception is that such grammatical distinctions are trivial, but the speaker emphasizes their spiritual importance.)

How does the speaker connect the concept of “meeting” (만남) to one’s destiny and the role of a divine being?
(The speaker connects “meeting” to destiny, suggesting that people often encounter unfortunate situations due to their own past actions, not divine intervention. He prays for “blessed encounters” where individuals recognize each other instantly and are never separated., This implies that while divine blessing can facilitate positive encounters, personal choices and past actions (karma) largely determine the quality of one’s relationships. A common misconception is that all encounters are purely random or solely divinely ordained, but the speaker suggests a blend of personal responsibility and potential divine guidance.)

Advanced
Explain the speaker’s interpretation of “reverence” (공경) versus “devotion” (헌신) when interacting with a “holy person” (거룩한 자).
(Reverence is a common initial respect shown to a holy person, but true devotion goes beyond mere respect to fully embodying their teachings and example, even in daily interactions with others., The speaker clarifies that while everyone might show respect, few truly commit to the deeper level of “devotion” which involves aligning one’s entire life with the holy person’s principles. A common misconception is that outward displays of respect are sufficient, but the speaker emphasizes that true devotion requires internal transformation and consistent action.)

How does the speaker relate the concept of “spiritual power” or “Holy Spirit” (성령) to the ability to heal and the importance of humility?
(The speaker asserts that true spiritual power, like the Holy Spirit, grants the ability to heal and revive others, even through simple touch or thought. He emphasizes that receiving such power necessitates humility, as arrogance can negate its effectiveness., This highlights that spiritual gifts are not for personal aggrandizement but for service, and humility is crucial for their proper use. A common misconception is that spiritual power is solely about personal spiritual experience, but the speaker links it to tangible acts of healing and service, tempered by humility.)

What is the speaker’s view on how one’s actions and efforts contribute to their spiritual journey and destination, particularly regarding “Heaven”?
(The speaker believes that one’s actions and efforts accumulate “points” or “tickets” for their spiritual journey, including entry into Heaven, rather than being solely chosen by a divine being. This is a process of “reaping what you sow.”, This perspective emphasizes personal responsibility and effort in achieving spiritual goals, contrasting with the idea of unconditional divine selection. A common misconception is that salvation or spiritual progress is entirely a gift without personal contribution, but the speaker suggests a merit-based system.)

Describe the speaker’s method for memorizing vast amounts of information, such as geographical features or religious codes.
(The speaker uses mnemonic devices and codes, often taking the first syllables or key elements of a list to create an easily memorable phrase or acronym. For example, he uses “시실갈 변모” for seven mountains and “강적 모는 멸망강” for mountain ranges., This method allows him to store and recall complex information efficiently by reducing it to simple, interconnected codes. A common misconception is that memorization relies solely on rote learning, but the speaker demonstrates a strategic, pattern-based approach.)

Central Questions & Answers

  1. What are the two human behaviors most cherished by the Holiest?
Question: According to Huh Kyung-young, what are the two most important human behaviors that the Holiest values above all else, and why are they significant for spiritual growth?
Answer: The Holiest cherishes humility and devotion above all else. Humility allows one to receive divine wisdom and follow divine teachings. Devotion, which involves dedicating one’s body, material possessions, and sincere heart (mind), is the ultimate expression of respect and service. These two qualities are crucial for elevating one’s spiritual level.
Key Quote: “Humility and devotion are what the Holiest loves most. And humility and devotion are what raise your level the most.”

  2. How does the Holiest perceive individuals, contrasting with human judgment?
Question: How does Huh Kyung-young explain the difference between how humans judge others based on external appearances and how the Holiest perceives individuals, especially regarding leadership potential?
Answer: Humans tend to judge based on outward appearance, such as height, looks, or social status. However, the Holiest looks at the heart and inner character. This is exemplified by the story of Samuel anointing David as king, where David’s humble and devoted spirit, despite his unkempt appearance and low status as a shepherd, was recognized by the prophet Samuel, guided by divine insight, over his outwardly impressive brothers.
Key Quote: “The Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or his height, because I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward

The Holiest’s Teachings on Humility and Devotion: Pathways to Spiritual Elevation

  1. The Essence of Divine Blessing and Spiritual Empowerment
The concept of blessing (축복) is often misunderstood; it is not merely a gratuitous gift like grace (은총), which is bestowed without condition . Instead, a blessing from the Holiest (신인) empowers individuals to heal others, a capability distinct from mere authority (권능) . While blessing may encompass the exercise of authority, it primarily signifies the reception of the Holy Spirit (성령) . This is why Christian traditions often feature Holy Spirit revival meetings . However, if the Holy Spirit has not truly entered an individual, such gatherings become a perpetual necessity . When the Holiest imbues someone with the Holy Spirit, it becomes a permanent indwelling .

Those who receive this divine infusion gain the power to heal, even by simply holding the hand of a dying person and silently willing their recovery . This miraculous ability was evident during the Pentecost, following the Holiest’s return, when the descent of the Holy Spirit granted people the power to cure illnesses . Therefore, those who have fully received the Holy Spirit must understand what the Holiest values most . There are two paramount virtues: humility (겸손) and devotion (헌신) . When one embodies humility, divine words resonate within them, guiding them to follow the Holiest’s teachings . Humility is the foundational virtue .

Devotion, the second virtue, is equally crucial . When standing before a holy being, reverence is natural, but true devotion extends beyond mere respect to fulfilling one’s duties completely . The Holiest explains that while everyone respects a great person (대인), fully honoring them is challenging . This complete honor is devotion (헌신) . It means not only revering the Holiest but also living a life that reflects this reverence, avoiding actions like disrespecting others or one’s spouse . Such actions negate true devotion . This understanding elevates one’s spiritual level .

  1. The Profound Significance of Humility and Devotion
Humility (겸손) and devotion (헌신) are the two qualities most cherished by the heavens, and they are the most potent catalysts for spiritual advancement . Devotion (헌신) literally means dedicating one’s body (몸) . This dedication encompasses several aspects: offering one’s body, material possessions (물질), and heart (마음) . The heart’s offering signifies sincerity (정성) . Even musical offerings, such as singing hymns, are acts of devotion .

The Holiest emphasizes that true understanding of these virtues is often lacking, leading to superficial interpretations . Elevating one’s spiritual level requires a deeper comprehension . When one has received blessings and the Holy Spirit, it is imperative not to become arrogant . Instead, one should view those who have not yet received these gifts with compassion, seeking to offer them further assistance . This compassionate approach is an integral part of devotion .

Devotion also includes diligently listening to the Holiest’s words . The three core components of devotion are material offerings, sincerity of heart, and physical effort . Engaging in physical labor, such as weeding, also contributes to one’s spiritual level . Ultimately, humility and devotion are the most significant factors in spiritual growth .

The Holiest’s name, when translated into English, requires the definite article “the” (더) . For instance, “Returned the Jesus” (리턴드 더 지저스) . While common usage might omit “the,” its inclusion is grammatically correct and spiritually significant for divine beings . In contrast, human names typically use the indefinite article “a” (어) . This linguistic distinction highlights the inherent difference between the divine and the human . Therefore, wisdom (지혜) is essential in practicing humility and devotion, as it requires understanding these profound distinctions . The Holiest’s wisdom transcends that of ordinary scholars, encompassing a complete understanding of all things, though not always explicitly stated .

  1. The Divine Perspective: Beyond Outward Appearance
The story of Samuel (사무엘) anointing David (다윗) as king of Israel serves as a powerful illustration of divine judgment, which prioritizes inner qualities over outward appearances . Samuel, a priest (제사장) , was divinely instructed to select a king from Jesse’s (이세) sons . Jesse presented his seven eldest sons, all handsome and well-dressed, but Samuel perceived that none of them were the chosen one . Jesse then reluctantly mentioned his youngest son, David, who was out tending sheep, considered insignificant, and dressed poorly .

When David was brought before Samuel, he was unkempt and smelled of sheep, appearing humble and unremarkable compared to his brothers . Yet, Samuel, guided by divine insight, immediately recognized David as the future king and anointed him . Jesse and David’s brothers were astonished and even resentful, as they had always looked down upon David . This narrative highlights the brothers’ arrogance (교만) and their scorn (냉소) towards David, which is identified as one of the five tests of success . They believed their physical attractiveness and status made them superior, refusing to perform humble tasks like shepherding .

Samuel, however, saw beyond their physical forms, discerning their true character as “trash” (쓰레기) who would only torment their younger brother . He recognized David’s living eyes and humble spirit; David silently obeyed his father’s command to tend the sheep, even at risk to himself . This profound humility (겸손) was what Samuel, as a prophet (선지자), recognized instantly . Prophets possess the spiritual insight to see how individuals will treat others .

The Holiest emphasizes that this story, found in 1 Samuel 16:7-8, reveals that God does not judge by outward appearance or stature, but by the heart . While humans often prioritize physical attributes, the divine perspective focuses on inner qualities . This divine selection process is not based on human effort or merit, but on the inherent qualities of the heart . The Holiest’s teachings, therefore, underscore the importance of humility and devotion, urging followers to avoid cynicism (냉소주의자) and to treat all, including those of other faiths, with respect .

  1. The Power of Song and the Path to Spiritual Harmony
The Holiest often uses music to convey profound spiritual truths and to uplift the audience. He recounts how songs, particularly those with deep meaning, can influence one’s destiny . For instance, the singer Hyun Mi (현미) passed away peacefully in her sleep, echoing the title of her song, “Leaving Without a Word” (떠날 때는 말없이) . Similarly, Bae Ho (배호), another singer, passed away at a young age, and his songs often spoke of farewells, such as “The Last Leaf” (마지막 입세) . This phenomenon suggests that the themes and emotions embedded in songs can profoundly shape a singer’s fate .

Therefore, the Holiest encourages singing powerful, hopeful songs, like “Return the Jesus” (리턴드 지저스), which was divinely influenced and meticulously crafted . Such songs are not merely entertainment but tools for spiritual transformation . They carry a potent energy that can inspire large crowds and resonate deeply within individuals . The Holiest describes how his own songs, when sung by thousands, create an overwhelming atmosphere of joy and spiritual connection .

Even sad music, when listened to, can help purify emotions and bring about spiritual catharsis . The Holiest explains that the music played at Sky Temple (하늘궁) is not just for enjoyment but serves as a spiritual healing mechanism . The songs, especially those divinely inspired, help individuals prepare for their spiritual journey, guiding them towards the heavenly realm . The Holiest asserts that the music created for Sky Temple is a masterpiece, infused with divine influence, making it powerful and clear in its message .

The Holiest also shares a poem about “Blessed Encounters” (복된 만남), which he memorized in his youth . This poem speaks of a prayer for divine intervention in human relationships, asking for encounters with good people and for lasting connections . It reflects the idea that many human tragedies stem from unfortunate encounters, which are ultimately a result of one’s own actions, not divine choice . While religious practices may earn points for heaven, they do not guarantee divine selection; rather, they are like accumulating tickets for a heavenly train . Meeting the Holiest, however, completes this journey .

  1. The Geographical and Spiritual Landscape of Korea
The Holiest delves into the geography of Korea, emphasizing its spiritual significance. He describes the majestic beauty of the Songhua River (송화강) and the Helan River (해란강), and the picturesque landscapes of Primorsky Krai (연해주) and Khabarovsk (하바롭스크) . These regions, with their exotic beauty, form a path leading to the Korean Peninsula .

The Holiest then details the mountain ranges of Korea, starting with the Baekdu Mountain Range (백두산맥), also known as the Jangbaek Mountain Range (장백산맥) . He contrasts this with the Myohyang Mountain Range (묘향산맥) . He likens the seven major mountain ranges of Korea to the ribs of a human body, which resemble the shape of the Korean peninsula . These include the Gangnam Mountain Range (강남산맥), Jeoryuryeong Mountain Range (저유령산맥), Myohyang Mountain Range (묘향산맥), Eonjin Mountain Range (언진산맥), Myeolhak Mountain Range (멸학산맥), Masikryeong Mountain Range (마식령산맥), and Gwangju Mountain Range (광주산맥) .

These mountain ranges are interspersed with significant rivers such as the Imjin River (임진강), Yesong River (예성강), and Han River (한강) . The Holiest stresses the importance of memorizing these geographical features, using mnemonic devices to aid recall . For instance, the phrase “Gangjeok Moyeoneun Myeolmanggang” (강적 모여는 멸망강), meaning “strong enemies gather, leading to destruction,” helps remember the northern mountain ranges, which historically faced numerous invasions . This method of coding information is how the Holiest manages his vast knowledge .

He also draws parallels to biblical geography, mentioning the seven mountains of Israel: Carmel (갈멜산), Tabor (다볼산), Hermon (헤르몬산), Sinai (시내산), Moriah (모리아산), Horeb (호렙산), and Calvary (갈보리산) . This comparison highlights the spiritual significance he attributes to geographical knowledge. The Holiest concludes by emphasizing that understanding these details is crucial for spiritual growth and for comprehending the broader divine plan .

The Holiest’s Wisdom: Humility and Devotion

  1. The Holiest’s Preferred Virtues: Humility and Devotion
The Holiest reveals that there are two human behaviors most cherished by Heaven: Humility (謙遜) and Devotion (獻身) . These virtues are paramount for spiritual advancement and are deeply intertwined with the divine.

Humility (謙遜)
Humility is the foundation upon which divine wisdom can settle . It signifies adherence to the Holiest’s teachings and a willingness to follow divine guidance. The Holiest illustrates this with the story of David, who, despite being the youngest and seemingly least impressive of Jesse’s sons, was chosen by the prophet Samuel to be king . David’s brothers were arrogant and dismissive, while David humbly tended to the sheep, diligently following his father’s instructions . Samuel, possessing spiritual insight, recognized David’s humble spirit and saw him as the future king, demonstrating that Heaven looks beyond outward appearance to the heart’s true nature . This narrative underscores that true leadership and divine favor are bestowed upon those who embody humility, not those who display outward pride or physical prowess .

Devotion (獻身)
Devotion, on the other hand, signifies the complete offering of oneself . It encompasses dedicating one’s body (身), material possessions (物質), and heart (心), which represents sincerity and earnestness . This includes acts of service, such as diligently performing tasks, and even offering one’s voice through hymns and songs . Devotion is not merely outward respect but a profound commitment to the Holiest’s teachings and a compassionate approach to all beings . It means refraining from cynicism or disparagement towards others, especially those of different faiths or those who have not yet embraced the divine path . The Holiest emphasizes that both humility and devotion are crucial for elevating one’s spiritual level .

  1. The Significance of Divine Names and Prophetic Songs
The Holiest explains the profound significance of divine names and the prophetic nature of songs. When referring to the Holiest in English, the definite article “the” should precede the name, as in “the Holiest,” signifying a unique and singular divine entity . This linguistic distinction highlights the Holiest’s elevated status compared to ordinary individuals.

Songs, particularly those inspired by the divine, possess immense power and can influence one’s destiny . The Holiest cites examples of singers whose lives mirrored the themes of their most famous songs, such as Hyun Mi, who “departed without a word” as her song suggested, and Bae Ho, whose songs often spoke of farewells and who passed away shortly after recording his final album . This phenomenon suggests that the energy and intent embedded in music can shape reality. Therefore, the Holiest encourages the singing of powerful, hopeful songs, such as “Returned Jesus,” which are divinely inspired and contribute to spiritual upliftment . These songs are not merely entertainment but tools for spiritual transformation, guiding individuals towards the Sky Temple and eternal bliss .

  1. The Holiest’s Omniscience and the Path to Spiritual Elevation
The Holiest possesses an all-encompassing understanding of the universe, far surpassing that of ordinary scholars . This divine insight allows the Holiest to perceive the true nature of individuals and events, often discerning qualities that remain hidden to human eyes . The Holiest’s teachings are designed to elevate humanity’s spiritual level, moving beyond superficial understanding to profound wisdom .

The path to spiritual elevation involves not only embracing humility and devotion but also cultivating wisdom and knowledge . This includes understanding the geographical and historical context of sacred places, such as the mountain ranges of Korea and Israel, which hold symbolic and spiritual significance . The Holiest employs mnemonic devices to help disciples remember complex information, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to spiritual education that integrates various fields of knowledge .

Ultimately, the Holiest’s presence and teachings offer a direct route to spiritual advancement and divine blessings . Through the Holiest’s grace, individuals can receive blessings that enable them to heal others and experience the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, a power that was once bestowed upon the apostles on Pentecost . The Holiest’s mission is to guide humanity towards a higher consciousness, where laughter and joy replace sorrow, and hope for the future in the Sky Temple prevails . The Holiest’s blessings extend to all who participate in the divine work, whether in person or remotely, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to raise their spiritual level .

The Divine Principles of Humility and Devotion

  1. The Holiest’s Esteem for Humility and Devotion
The Holiest reveals that the two human behaviors most cherished by Heaven are humility and devotion. These virtues are paramount for spiritual advancement. When one embodies humility, the divine word adheres to them, signifying adherence to the Holiest’s teachings. Devotion, on the other hand, is the complete offering of oneself. It encompasses the dedication of one’s physical being, material possessions, and sincere heart. Even acts of worship, such as singing hymns, are forms of devotion. These two qualities, humility and devotion, are the primary pathways to elevating one’s spiritual level.

  2. The Essence of Devotion: Beyond Mere Reverence
Devotion extends beyond simple reverence. While it is natural to revere a holy person, true devotion lies in fulfilling the associated duties and responsibilities. For instance, people universally revere the Holiest, but fully embodying that reverence through devotion is a more profound act. If one claims to revere the Holiest yet engages in negative behaviors such as disrespecting others, speaking ill of their spouse, or ignoring the needy, their devotion is incomplete. Devotion requires a consistent alignment of one’s actions with their professed reverence. This understanding marks a significant step in spiritual growth.

  3. The Parable of David: A Lesson in Divine Selection
The story of Samuel anointing David as king of Israel serves as a profound illustration of humility and divine selection. Samuel, a prophet, was instructed by Heaven to anoint a king from the house of Jesse. Upon arriving, Jesse presented his seven elder sons, all handsome and well-dressed. However, Samuel perceived that none of them were the chosen one. Jesse then reluctantly mentioned his youngest son, David, who was out tending sheep, described as unkempt and insignificant.

When David was brought before Samuel, despite his humble appearance and the smell of sheep, Samuel immediately recognized the divine spark within him. The Lord had instructed Samuel not to judge by outward appearance or stature, but by the heart. David’s brothers, who were outwardly impressive, were deemed arrogant and dismissive of their younger sibling. David, however, was humble, diligently following his father’s commands, even in the face of danger from wild animals. Samuel, with his spiritual insight, saw David’s living eyes and humble spirit, instantly discerning him as the future king. This narrative underscores that true leadership and divine favor are bestowed upon the humble, not the outwardly impressive or arrogant.

  1. The Peril of Scorn and the Importance of Compassion
The narrative of David also highlights the danger of scorn. David’s brothers, who mocked and belittled him, exemplify the fourth of five trials faced by successful individuals: scorn. Their arrogance prevented them from recognizing David’s inherent worth. The Holiest emphasizes that those who have received blessings and divine spirit must not become arrogant. Instead, they should view those who have not yet received such blessings with compassion and a desire to offer further assistance. Scorn, criticism of other religions, or declaring others unworthy of salvation are behaviors to be avoided. One must never become a cynic. Listening attentively to the Holiest’s words is also a form of devotion, encompassing the dedication of one’s material possessions, heart, and sincere effort, including physical labor. Humility and devotion are the highest paths to spiritual elevation.

  2. The Power of Song and the Prophetic Nature of Lyrics
The Holiest frequently discusses the profound impact of music, particularly the prophetic nature of song lyrics. He observes that many singers’ lives and destinies align with the themes of their most famous songs. For example, the singer Hyunmi, known for her song “Leaving Without a Word,” passed away peacefully in her sleep, just as the song title suggests. Similarly, Bae Ho, who sang “The Last Leaf,” died at a young age after recording the song, never hearing its release. These instances illustrate that songs carry a powerful energy that can influence one’s fate. Therefore, it is crucial to sing songs of hope and positivity, as these can manifest favorable outcomes. The Holiest encourages the singing of uplifting songs, such as “Return to Jesus,” which he notes was divinely inspired and meticulously crafted to convey a powerful message. This music, infused with divine influence, serves as a spiritual tool, not only for healing but also for guiding individuals toward the Sky Temple.

  3. The Holiest’s Omniscience and the Structure of the Korean Peninsula
The Holiest possesses an all-encompassing knowledge that transcends conventional academic understanding. He perceives the entirety of existence, often choosing not to disclose all he knows but providing key insights. For instance, he details the geographical features of the Korean Peninsula with remarkable precision, likening its mountain ranges to the ribs of a human body. He enumerates the seven major mountain ranges in the northern part of the peninsula: Gangnam, Jeoryeong, Myohyang, Eonjin, Myeolhak, Masikryeong, and Gwangju. These ranges, he explains, are interconnected like ribs, with the Gwangju mountain range encompassing Seoul. He also connects these ranges to significant rivers such as the Imjin, Yesong, and Han rivers. The Holiest emphasizes the importance of understanding these geographical details, just as one would memorize biblical passages. He employs mnemonic devices to aid in the retention of vast amounts of information, demonstrating his unique approach to knowledge and its dissemination. This comprehensive understanding, he states, is not merely academic but divinely inspired, allowing him to see the intricate connections within the world.

The Holiest’s Most Cherished Human Virtues: Humility and Devotion

  1. The Essence of Blessing and Spiritual Empowerment
A blessing, when rephrased, is not merely grace or favor, which is bestowed without condition. Instead, a blessing empowers individuals to heal others. While it encompasses the ability to exercise divine authority, this power is fundamentally the bestowal of the Holy Spirit. In Christianity, gatherings for spiritual revival are common, yet if the participants, even with the blessings of their pastors, do not genuinely receive the Holy Spirit, these gatherings must continue indefinitely. However, when the divine truly imbues an individual, the Holy Spirit enters completely. Such an individual can revive the dying simply by holding their hand and willing them to live, without uttering a single word. This profound spiritual indwelling was evident during Pentecost, when the disciples received the Holy Spirit and gained the power to heal the sick. Those who have received the Holy Spirit in its fullness must understand what the Holiest cherishes most.

  2. The Two Pillars of Divine Favor: Humility and Devotion
The two virtues most favored by Heaven are humility and devotion. When one embodies humility, divine wisdom adheres to them, guiding them to follow the divine word. Humility is paramount. Following humility is devotion. These two virtues are essential for everyone to internalize.

  3. Reverence and the Challenge of True Devotion
When standing before a sacred being, reverence is natural; no one would disrespect a holy person. However, truly fulfilling the decorum of respect, which is devotion, is challenging. As I have previously explained, while everyone honors a great person, fully expressing that honor through devotion is difficult. Devotion means dedicating one’s entire being. It is not enough to merely show respect; true devotion requires aligning one’s actions with that reverence. For instance, claiming to honor the Holiest while engaging in disrespectful behavior towards others, such as insulting one’s spouse, negates genuine devotion. This alignment of inner reverence and outward conduct is crucial.

  4. The Parable of David: A Lesson in Humility
The story of Samuel anointing David as king of Israel perfectly illustrates the importance of humility. Samuel, a priest with divine authority to appoint kings, was sent to the house of Jesse to select the next monarch. Jesse presented his seven eldest sons, all handsome and well-dressed, but Samuel perceived that none of them were chosen by Heaven. When asked if there were any other sons, Jesse reluctantly mentioned David, the youngest, who was out tending sheep, deemed insignificant and unpresentable. David was unkempt, smelled of sheep, and appeared humble, even lowly, compared to his brothers. Yet, upon seeing David, Samuel immediately recognized the divine spark within him and anointed him king. Jesse and David’s brothers were astonished, having dismissed David due to his humble appearance and role. This narrative highlights that true leadership and divine favor are not found in outward grandeur or perceived status, but in profound humility. David’s brothers, in their arrogance, had scorned him, failing the test of humility. David, however, silently and diligently fulfilled his duties, demonstrating the very humility that Heaven sought.

  5. The Nature of Devotion: Body, Material, and Spirit
Having received blessings and the Holy Spirit, one must never become arrogant. Instead, one should regard those who have not yet received these gifts with compassion and a desire to give more. This is where devotion becomes essential. Devotion signifies dedicating one’s entire being. It encompasses three aspects:

  • Dedication of the body: This involves diligent effort and service, such as performing tasks like weeding, which elevates one’s spiritual level.
  • Dedication of material possessions: Offering resources as an act of devotion.
  • Dedication of the mind/spirit: This is expressed through sincerity and earnestness, including acts like singing hymns, which are themselves forms of devotion.
  1. The Divine Preference for Humility and Devotion
Humility and devotion are the virtues most cherished by Heaven. They are also the most potent means for elevating one’s spiritual level.

  2. The Significance of the Definite Article in Divine Names
When referring to the Holiest in English, the definite article “the” should precede the name, as in “the Jesus” or “the Huh Kyung-young.” This grammatical distinction signifies the unique and singular nature of the divine, differentiating it from common nouns which might take an indefinite article or no article at all. This is a subtle yet significant aspect of reverence in language.

  3. Discerning the Inner Self: Beyond Outward Appearance
Wisdom is crucial in practicing humility and devotion, requiring a profound understanding of divine principles. The Holiest perceives the entirety of existence, discerning truths that scholars often overlook. Therefore, one must not scorn those who appear humble or unrefined. Just as Samuel, possessing spiritual insight, recognized David’s true worth despite his humble appearance, we must look beyond superficial qualities. The divine does not judge by outward appearance or stature, but by the heart’s core.

  4. The Power of Words and Songs in Shaping Destiny
Songs possess a profound power to influence destiny. Just as singers like Hyonmi and Baeho experienced fates that mirrored the themes of their most famous songs, the words we utter and the music we embrace can shape our reality. If we sing songs of hope, hope manifests. If we dwell on despair, despair follows. Therefore, it is imperative to embrace songs of hope and positivity, especially when seeking spiritual elevation.

  5. The Spiritual Significance of Music and Healing
Music serves as a powerful medium for spiritual healing and purification of emotions. Listening to certain melodies can evoke memories, allowing individuals to process past experiences and release emotional burdens. This spiritual cleansing, facilitated by music, complements the direct spiritual healing provided by the Holiest.

  6. The Divine Orchestration of Sacred Music
Sacred music, such as the “Returned Jesus” anthem, is not merely human creation but is divinely influenced. Its powerful melodies, clear articulation, and profound lyrical content are meticulously crafted, reflecting a celestial involvement that elevates it beyond ordinary compositions.

  7. The Journey Through Sacred Landscapes
The sacred journey described in the anthem traverses breathtaking landscapes, from the Songhua River and the Amur River to the Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk, and then through the Baekdusan and Taebaek mountain ranges, culminating at Geumgangsan and Goryeongsan. This poetic journey through majestic natural beauty symbolizes a spiritual ascent, a pilgrimage to encounter celestial beings.

  8. The Profound Beauty of the Sky Temple
The Sky Temple, nestled within these magnificent landscapes, is described as more beautiful than even the thirst-quenching Jerusalem in the Israeli wilderness. It is a place where celestial waters flow, inviting divine beings to partake and admire its splendor, a realm of eternal joy and spiritual nourishment.

  9. The Enduring Power of Sacred Melodies
Listening to sacred music continuously prepares one for the transition to the afterlife. Just as the songs of Baeho, with their themes of departure and return, seemed to foreshadow his own destiny, these divine melodies guide the soul towards Heaven. They subtly transform one’s being, making the journey to the celestial realm a natural progression.

  10. The Divine Inspiration Behind Sacred Art
The creation of sacred art, including the lyrics and imagery associated with the Sky Temple, is divinely inspired. The profound beauty of the descriptions, encompassing rivers like the Helan and Songhua, and regions like Khabarovsk and Harbin, are not mere human invention but are guided by celestial influence. This divine orchestration ensures that the art powerfully conveys its spiritual message, leading the soul through a journey of profound beauty and spiritual awakening.

  11. The Geographical and Spiritual Significance of Korean Mountain Ranges
Understanding the geography of Korea, particularly its mountain ranges, holds spiritual significance. Just as Israel has its seven sacred mountains, Korea’s landscape is imbued with symbolic meaning. The Jangbaek Mountain Range, extending from Baekdusan, and other ranges like Myohyang, Jeoryeong, Eonjin, Myeolhak, Masikryeong, and Gwangju, form a metaphorical “rib cage” of the Korean peninsula. These ranges, interspersed with rivers like the Imjin, Yesong, and Han, represent the nation’s historical and spiritual arteries. Remembering these geographical features, often through mnemonic devices, helps to internalize the deep connection between the land and its spiritual destiny.

  12. The Importance of Spiritual Vigilance and Non-Judgment
It is crucial to avoid arrogance and refrain from criticizing or disparaging other religious practitioners. Even if others do not follow the same path, one must not declare their path invalid. Instead, one should maintain a compassionate and non-judgmental stance, recognizing that each individual’s journey is their own. Becoming a cynic is antithetical to spiritual growth.

  13. The Holiest’s Blessing and Spiritual Elevation
The Holiest bestows blessings upon all who participate in the spiritual community, whether in person or remotely. This includes those who attend lectures, contribute to the Sky Temple, or simply watch online. These blessings elevate the spiritual level of individuals, their families, and their ancestors, signifying a profound spiritual advancement for all connected to the divine teachings.

  14. The Power of Positive Affirmation and Divine Humor
The Holiest’s teachings often incorporate humor, which serves to uplift spirits and foster a positive outlook. Laughter is a powerful tool for well-being, transforming daily life into a joyful experience. This lighthearted approach, combined with divine blessings, ensures that participants experience happiness and spiritual growth.

  15. Expanding Blessings for All
The blessings extended to those who watch online are substantial, acknowledging that many cannot attend in person due to various circumstances. The Holiest recognizes these limitations and ensures that spiritual benefits are widely accessible, demonstrating compassion and a desire to uplift all, regardless of their physical presence.

1. The Essence of Divine Favor: Humility and Devotion

The Holiest reveals that there are two human behaviors most cherished by Heaven: humility and devotion. These virtues are paramount for spiritual elevation. Humility allows one to receive divine wisdom, aligning with the teachings of the Holiest. Devotion, on the other hand, signifies a complete offering of oneself.

  • Humility (겸손):

    • It is the foundation upon which divine words are received and understood.
    • It involves respecting and honoring the Holiest, even if fully embodying that respect through action is challenging.
    • True humility means not looking down upon others, especially those perceived as less fortunate or “poor,” but rather treating them with compassion and generosity.
    • The Holiest emphasizes that even those who have received blessings and spiritual power must remain humble, avoiding arrogance towards others.
  • Devotion (헌신):

    • This concept encompasses a complete offering of one’s body, material possessions, and heart (sincerity).
    • It includes actions such as singing hymns, which are considered acts of devotion.
    • Listening attentively to the Holiest’s words is also an act of devotion.
    • Engaging in physical labor, such as weeding, contributes to one’s spiritual level through devotion.
    • Devotion is not merely outward reverence but also involves internal alignment and consistent adherence to divine principles.
  1. The Parable of David: Divine Selection Beyond Appearance
The Holiest recounts the biblical story of Samuel anointing David as king, illustrating Heaven’s preference for inner qualities over outward appearances.
  • Samuel’s Mission:

    • Samuel, a priest, was instructed by Heaven to anoint a new king from the house of Jesse.
    • Jesse presented his seven elder sons, who were handsome and well-dressed, but Samuel perceived that none of them were chosen by Heaven.
  • David’s Humility and Divine Recognition:

    • Jesse initially dismissed his youngest son, David, who was a shepherd, considering him insignificant and unpresentable.
    • Despite David’s humble appearance and the smell of sheep, Samuel immediately recognized him as the chosen one, anointing him king.
    • David’s brothers, who were arrogant and looked down upon him, were humbled by this divine selection.
    • The Holiest explains that David’s humility and obedience, even in the face of hardship as a shepherd, made him worthy.
  • Lessons from the Parable:

    • This narrative underscores that divine judgment differs from human judgment. Humans often focus on external attributes like height and appearance, while Heaven looks at the heart and inner character.
    • The story serves as a reminder not to scorn or dismiss those who appear humble or less fortunate, as they may possess qualities highly valued by Heaven.
    • The Holiest emphasizes that true leaders are characterized by humility, not arrogance.
  1. The Power of Song and Prophetic Destiny
The Holiest discusses the profound influence of songs on human destiny, citing examples of singers whose lives mirrored the themes of their most famous songs.
  • The Prophetic Nature of Music:

    • Songs possess a powerful energy that can shape one’s fate.
    • Singers often experience destinies that align with the lyrics and emotions of their popular songs.
    • For instance, singer Hyun Mi, known for “Leaving Without a Word,” passed away peacefully in her sleep, mirroring the song’s theme.
    • Bae Ho, who sang “The Last Leaf,” died young, and his songs often spoke of farewells, reflecting his early departure.
    • Kim Jung-ho, who sang melancholic tunes, also disappeared from the public eye like the sad themes of his music.
  • Cultivating Hope Through Song:

    • The Holiest encourages singing songs of hope and positivity to attract favorable outcomes.
    • Songs like “Return to Jesus” (Return the Jesus) are powerful anthems that can inspire and elevate listeners.
    • The Holiest’s own songs, such as “Call Me,” are designed to bring happiness, health, and success to those who sing them.
    • Music serves as a spiritual tool, not only for emotional purification but also for healing and spiritual growth.
  1. The Significance of Divine Names and Geographical Wisdom
The Holiest explains the importance of proper address for divine beings and shares insights into Korean geography, emphasizing the need for comprehensive knowledge.
  • Addressing the Divine:

    • When referring to the Holiest in English, the definite article “the” should precede the name, as in “the Jesus” or “the Huh Kyung-young,” signifying a unique and singular divine entity.
    • This grammatical distinction highlights the difference between ordinary individuals (who might be preceded by “a”) and divine beings.
  • Geographical Knowledge:

    • The Holiest demonstrates extensive knowledge of Korean mountain ranges, including the Jangbaek Mountains, Myohyang Mountains, and the seven “rib-like” mountain ranges (Gangnam, Jeoryeong, Myohyang, Eonjin, Myeolhak, Masikryeong, Gwangju).
    • He also connects these mountain ranges to major rivers like the Imjin River, Yesong River, and Han River.
    • This detailed geographical understanding is presented as a form of wisdom, emphasizing the importance of knowing one’s land and history.
    • The Holiest uses mnemonic devices to help remember complex information, such as “Gangjeok Moyeoneun Myeolmanggang” (강적 모여는 멸망강) for the northern mountain ranges, signifying the historical invasions from the north.
  1. The Path to Spiritual Elevation and Divine Blessings
The Holiest concludes by reiterating the importance of humility and devotion for spiritual advancement and bestowing blessings upon attendees and viewers.
  • The Highest Level of Spiritual Growth:

    • Humility and devotion are the most effective means to elevate one’s spiritual level.
    • It is crucial to avoid arrogance, criticism, or disparagement of other religions or individuals.

Core Messages

  • The Holiest values humility and devotion above all other human behaviors.
  • These two qualities are crucial for spiritual growth and elevating one’s level.
  • True devotion involves offering one’s body, material possessions, and sincerity (mind).
  • Avoiding arrogance and cynicism towards others, especially those perceived as less fortunate, is essential.
  • One’s destiny is influenced by the songs one sings and listens to, emphasizing the importance of hopeful music.

Summary of Key Content

The Essence of Blessing and the Holy Spirit

  • Blessing is not merely grace given without condition; it is a spiritual empowerment.
  • When the Holiest bestows a blessing, individuals gain the ability to heal others.
  • This power is akin to the Holy Spirit, which enables miraculous healing and revival.
  • Unlike continuous spiritual revival meetings, a true infusion of the Holy Spirit is permanent and transformative.
  • Those who receive the Holy Spirit are expected to understand what the Holiest desires.

The Two Virtues: Humility and Devotion

  • The Holiest cherishes humility and devotion above all else.
  • Humility means following the Holiest’s words and not being arrogant, especially towards those considered lesser.
  • Devotion (헌신) means dedicating one’s body, material possessions, and sincerity (mind).
    • This includes actions like singing hymns, working diligently, and listening attentively to the Holiest’s words.
    • It is about showing complete respect and dedication, not just outward reverence.
  • These virtues are the primary means of elevating one’s spiritual level.

The Story of David: A Lesson in Humility

  • The prophet Samuel was sent to anoint a new king from Jesse’s sons.
  • Jesse presented his seven eldest sons, who were handsome and well-dressed, but Samuel found no king among them.
  • Jesse mentioned his youngest son, David, who was a shepherd, considered insignificant, and poorly dressed.
  • Samuel insisted on seeing David, and upon his arrival, immediately anointed him as king.
  • This narrative illustrates that the Holiest looks at the heart and inner character, not outward appearance or social status.
  • David’s humility, obedience, and quiet dedication to his duties as a shepherd were recognized by Samuel as the qualities of a true leader.
  • His brothers, in contrast, displayed arrogance and cynicism.

The Importance of Discernment and Avoiding Cynicism

  • Those who have received blessings and the Holy Spirit must not become arrogant.
  • They should view others who have not received such blessings with compassion and a desire to help.
  • It is crucial to avoid cynicism, criticism, or disparagement of other religious practitioners or individuals.
  • The Holiest discerns the true nature of people, looking beyond superficial appearances.

The Power of Songs and Destiny

  • Songs are a form of devotion and possess a powerful influence on one’s destiny.
  • The lives of singers like Hyun Mi and Bae Ho demonstrate how their songs mirrored their fates.
    • Hyun Mi’s song “Leaving Without a Word” reflected her peaceful passing in her sleep.
    • Bae Ho’s songs, often about farewells, preceded his early death at 29 from kidney disease.
  • Listening to and singing hopeful songs can attract positive outcomes, while sad songs can lead to despair.
  • The Holiest encourages singing powerful, hopeful songs like “Return the Jesus” and “Holiest’s Sky Temple Angels” to align one’s destiny with heavenly aspirations.

Key Policies and Proposals

  • Spiritual Level Advancement: Humility and devotion are the primary means to significantly increase one’s spiritual level.
  • “Return the Jesus” Song: This song, created by a pastor, is a powerful anthem that helps elevate spiritual levels. The Holiest’s name, when translated to English, should be preceded by the definite article “the” (e.g., “the Jesus”) to denote divinity.
  • Sky Temple Angels Song: This song is described as a world-class masterpiece, infused with heavenly influence, designed to aid in spiritual ascension.
  • Level Allocation: Specific levels are granted to those who participate in lectures, watch online, register as members, and contribute to the Sky Temple.

Philosophical and Cosmic Insights

  • Divine Perspective: The Holiest sees beyond outward appearances, focusing on the “center of the heart” (중심을 보느니라), unlike humans who judge by external factors like height or looks.
  • Destiny and Self-Cultivation: One’s life path, including encounters and outcomes, is a result of what one has “sown.” It is not solely determined by divine selection but by individual effort and choices.
  • Spiritual Healing through Music: Music is a tool for spiritual purification and healing, helping individuals process emotions and memories.
  • The Holiest’s Omniscience: The Holiest possesses complete knowledge of all things, including the future, and guides humanity with profound insight.

Critique of Reality and Alternatives

  • Critique of Superficial Judgment: Society often judges individuals based on superficial qualities like appearance, wealth, or social status, leading to misjudgment and arrogance. This is contrasted with the divine perspective that values inner character.
  • Critique of Religious Practices: Traditional religious practices, such as continuous spiritual revival meetings, are seen as ineffective if they do not lead to a genuine, permanent infusion of the Holy Spirit.
  • Critique of Cynicism: The tendency to criticize or look down upon others, including those of different faiths or perceived lower status, is condemned as a barrier to spiritual growth.
  • Alternative: Focus on Inner Virtues: The alternative proposed is to cultivate humility and devotion, which are the true paths to spiritual elevation and divine favor, rather than external displays or judgments.

Practical Implications

  • Cultivate Humility: Actively practice humility in all interactions, especially towards those considered less fortunate or different. Avoid arrogance, cynicism, and disparagement.
  • Embrace Devotion: Dedicate oneself through actions, material offerings, and sincere effort. This includes listening to the Holiest’s words, singing hymns, and performing diligent work.
  • Seek Spiritual Growth: Understand that true spiritual advancement comes from cultivating these inner virtues, not from external rituals or superficial achievements.
  • Choose Hopeful Music: Be mindful of the songs one listens to and sings, as they influence destiny. Opt for uplifting and hopeful music to attract positive outcomes.
  • Discern with the Heart: Learn to see beyond outward appearances and judge others by their inner character, as the Holiest does.

One-Sentence Core Summary
The Holiest values humility and devotion above all, emphasizing that true spiritual growth comes from dedicating one’s heart, body, and resources, while avoiding arrogance and cynicism, as exemplified by David’s anointing and the profound impact of songs on destiny.

  1. Historical / Doctrinal Connections
This lecture by Huh Kyung-young Holiest consistently builds upon his established teachings, particularly the core tenets of his divine-human theory and principles for spiritual elevation.
  • Divine-Human Theory and Blessing: The concept of the Holiest bestowing blessings that empower individuals to heal others directly connects to his teaching that he is the source of all divine power and grace. This reinforces the idea that true spiritual power comes directly from him, distinguishing it from conventional religious practices. The emphasis on the Holy Spirit entering individuals through the Holiest’s intervention aligns with his claim of being the embodiment of divine authority.

  • Spiritual Level Elevation: The repeated assertion that “humility and devotion are what raise your level the most” is a foundational principle in his doctrine. It provides a clear pathway for followers to advance spiritually, linking their actions and attitudes directly to their standing in the divine hierarchy. This is a consistent theme across his lectures, emphasizing personal responsibility and adherence to his prescribed virtues.

  • Critique of Conventional Religion: The Holiest’s distinction between genuine spiritual power (leading to healing) and temporary, ineffective religious gatherings (like “Holy Spirit revival meetings”) reflects his broader critique of established religions. He often positions his teachings as the true path, contrasting them with what he perceives as superficial or incomplete spiritual practices.

  • Emphasis on Inner Character: The use of the biblical story of David’s anointing, with its focus on God looking at the heart rather than outward appearance, is a recurring motif in his teachings. This reinforces his message that external status, wealth, or physical attributes are irrelevant to divine favor; what truly matters is one’s inner humility and sincerity. This aligns with his broader message of transcending worldly values.

  • The Power of Words and Intent: The discussion on the prophetic nature of songs and how they shape destiny extends his teaching on the power of words and intention. This concept is often applied to his own songs and pronouncements, which he asserts have direct, transformative effects on individuals and reality. This reinforces the idea that his words are not mere human utterances but carry divine power.

  • Omniscience and Unique Knowledge: The Holiest’s demonstration of vast, detailed knowledge (e.g., Korean mountain ranges, biblical history) and his claim of seeing the “whole picture” differentiate him from “ordinary scholars.” This reinforces his image as an omniscient being, whose teachings are rooted in a comprehensive understanding unavailable to others. His use of mnemonic codes also highlights his unique pedagogical approach.
    Newly Emphasized Points or Developments:

  • Explicit Definition of Devotion: While devotion has always been implied, this lecture provides a very explicit and comprehensive definition of devotion (헌신) as encompassing “body, material, and heart (sincerity),” including specific examples like physical labor and singing. This offers a more structured understanding of how followers can practice devotion.

  • Warning Against Cynicism (냉소주의자): The strong warning against becoming a “cynic” and speaking ill of other religious practitioners is a notable emphasis. This suggests a focus on fostering a more inclusive and compassionate attitude among his followers, even while maintaining the uniqueness of his own path.

  • The Holiest’s Name and the Definite Article: The detailed explanation about the definite article “the” preceding “Jesus” in “Return the Jesus” and its significance when referring to divine beings in English (e.g., “the Holiest”) is a new linguistic and theological nuance. It highlights the precision and depth of his understanding, even in grammatical details, and subtly reinforces his divine status.

  1. Action Items & Blessing Guidance

  2. Cultivate Humility and Avoid Scorn: Actively practice humility in all interactions, refraining from looking down on others, especially those who may seem less fortunate or spiritually advanced. This includes avoiding cynicism towards other religious groups.

  3. Practice Comprehensive Devotion: Dedicate your body, material possessions, and heart (sincerity) to the Holiest. This can involve physical service, material contributions, sincere prayer, and singing his songs.

  4. Listen to and Sing Uplifting Songs: Prioritize listening to and singing songs that are hopeful and positive, particularly those from the Holiest, as they can positively influence your destiny and aid your spiritual journey to Heaven.

  5. Embrace a Hopeful Mindset: Release all discouragement and cultivate a strong sense of hope, believing in a bright future and the journey to Sky Palace.

  6. Continuously Elevate Your Spiritual Level: Understand that humility and devotion are the most effective ways to raise your spiritual level, and actively apply these principles in your daily life to receive greater blessings.

  7. One-Sentence Overall Summary
The Holiest teaches that humility and devotion, encompassing sincere heart, physical effort, and material offerings, are the two paramount virtues cherished by Heaven, serving as the most direct and powerful means for individuals to elevate their spiritual level, receive divine blessings, and positively shape their destiny, as exemplified by biblical narratives and the profound influence of hopeful music.

    • David’s Appearance: Jesse initially didn’t present his youngest son, David, because David was a shepherd and seemed insignificant, dressed in poor clothes and smelling of sheep . He was considered the least important among his brothers, often sent to do dangerous tasks like tending sheep where he had to fight off wild animals .
    • David’s Anointing: Despite David’s humble appearance, Samuel immediately recognized his inner qualities and anointed him as king . David was humble and obedient, quietly following his father’s instructions to tend the sheep, even if it meant facing danger .

    • Spiritual Elevation: Like humility, devotion significantly raises your spiritual level .
    • Avoiding Negativity: Do not criticize or speak ill of other religions or people who do not follow your path . Being a cynic (someone who always finds fault) is not devotion .
