Huh Kyung-young’s Unique Worldview and Philosophy
The Concept of “Building Blessings”
Huh Kyung-young challenges the common notion of “receiving blessings,” emphasizing that blessings are something one actively builds through their actions. This perspective shifts responsibility and agency to the individual, highlighting the power of their choices in shaping their destiny. It’s a powerful reframing that encourages proactive, compassionate living.
Are blessings something you build or receive? People say, “Happy New Year, receive many blessings,” but that’s wrong. You should say, “Build many blessings.” Blessings are built. Do you think some people get blessings and others don’t? Blessings come according to your actions.
So, something comes when you build blessings. The phrase “receive blessings” is incorrect.
People who build blessings don’t light lamps at night for fear that moths might die.
If you accumulate blessings, it leads to enlightenment. It’s not about studying to achieve enlightenment.
The Power of Compassion and Love
Huh Kyung-young stresses that compassion (대비심) is the root of all blessings and the ultimate power. He illustrates this with the fable of the sun and the wind, where the sun’s warmth (love) succeeds in making a person remove their coat, while the wind’s force fails. genuine change and positive outcomes stem from empathy and kindness, not coercion.
What is the root of blessings? He said the root of blessings is great compassion. Great compassion means looking at all people with pity and helping them.
What is that sunlight? It’s love. Love. Love won.
There is nothing love cannot do. There is nothing compassion cannot do.
Huh Kyung-young’s Extraordinary Abilities
Huh Kyung-young claims to possess supernatural abilities, such as instantly diagnosing illnesses and traveling through space at incredible speeds. He contrasts his diagnostic speed with modern medicine, highlighting the limitations of scientific methods compared to his instantaneous insights. This showcases his self-proclaimed divine or superhuman status, a core part of his public persona.
I just examined that person’s brain, right? It shows where the abnormalities are, right? Modern medicine cannot do that. It doesn’t happen instantly, in one second.
In our universe, there is no end, so if travel takes more than one second, you cannot go. It takes too long. If you travel 120 light-years in 12 billion years, you would have to live for 12 billion years.
I go in one second and come back in one second, that’s why I can come. Staying there for 10 minutes is a long time there.
The Importance of Humility
arrogance leads to downfall, while humility is crucial for continued growth and success. He uses the historical example of Jang Hui-bin to illustrate how pride, even after achieving success, can lead to ruin. This serves as a moral lesson, reinforcing the value of modesty regardless of one’s accomplishments.
The arrogant eventually fall. You shouldn’t become arrogant just because you have achievements. The more achievements you have, the more humble you should be.
You must never be arrogant, and even though you have built many blessings to get this far, you must not neglect them.
This excerpt comes from a YouTube video titled “♡ Event to Meet God-man Huh Kyung-young ♡ (August 18, 26) | The first person to reach Level 1 Police Officer or higher has appeared…!?” from the Huh Kyung-young TV channel. In this video, Huh Kyung-young delivers a sermon-like lecture to his followers, emphasizing the importance of “building good fortune” and demonstrating his unique healing abilities. He also shares his views on various topics, from historical anecdotes to the power of love and compassion.
Huh Kyung-young’s Philosophy on “Building Fortune”
Fortune is Built, Not Received
Huh Kyung-young challenges the common notion of “receiving” fortune, asserting that fortune is something one actively “builds” through their actions. This perspective shifts responsibility and agency to the individual, encouraging a proactive approach to life. every action, big or small, contributes to one’s fortune.
Is fortune something you build or receive? People say, “Happy New Year, receive lots of fortune,” right? That’s wrong. You should say, “Build lots of fortune.” Fortune is built. Do you think some people get fortune and others don’t? Fortune comes according to your actions.
So, something comes when you build fortune. Saying “receive fortune” is wrong.
The Root of Fortune: Great Compassion (大悲心)
Huh Kyung-young connects the concept of building fortune directly to “great compassion” (대비심), or the act of feeling pity and helping others. He cites the example of Buddha, who achieved enlightenment not through study, but by accumulating immense compassion in his past lives. This highlights that true spiritual growth and fortune stem from selfless love.
If you accumulate fortune, it reaches the point of enlightenment. One who achieves enlightenment through study has not truly enlightened. One says they reached enlightenment by building fortune.
What is the root of fortune? It is great compassion. Great compassion. You must look at all people with pity and help them.
Love as the Ultimate Power
Huh Kyung-young illustrates the power of love and compassion through the fable of the sun and the wind. While the wind’s force only made a person cling tighter to their coat, the sun’s warmth gently encouraged them to take it off. This metaphor powerfully conveys that love (햇볕) is more effective than force (바람) in achieving desired outcomes, emphasizing its transformative power.
What is that sunlight? It’s love. Love. Love won.
There is nothing love cannot do. There is nothing compassion cannot do.
Insights on Human Nature and Society
The Danger of Arrogance
Huh Kyung-young warns against arrogance (교만), stating that “the arrogant will eventually perish.” He uses the historical example of Jang Hui-bin, whose arrogance after returning to the palace led to her downfall. This serves as a cautionary tale, stressing the importance of humility, especially for those in positions of power or who have achieved success.
The arrogant will eventually perish. You shouldn’t become arrogant just because you have achievements. The more achievements you have, the more humble you should be.
The Unseen Power of the Inner Court (內命婦)
Huh Kyung-young highlights the often-underestimated power of the “inner court” (내명부), particularly the queen, in historical Korean society. He dramatically claims that half of Korea’s kings were “eliminated” by the inner court, often through poison. This intriguing perspective suggests that true power dynamics can be hidden from public view and that domestic relationships can have profound political consequences.
Half of Korea’s kings were eliminated by the inner court. All of them died from poison. So, the inner court frequently dominated our country’s history.
The Importance of Humility and Consideration
Huh Kyung-young extends the concept of “building fortune” to everyday actions, such as not lighting large lamps at night to avoid harming moths. This seemingly small act of consideration for even the smallest creatures is presented as a way to accumulate good fortune. He also advises husbands to view their wives’ nagging as a sign of health, promoting a more compassionate and understanding approach to relationships.
People who build fortune do not light lamps at night for fear that moths might die.
If your wife nags, it’s 100 times better than being sick in bed and unable to move. It’s better to just put up with it. It’s better than constantly going to the hospital to nurse her. If she yells, just listen.
Huh Kyung-young’s Unique Abilities and Worldview
Instantaneous Diagnosis and Healing
Huh Kyung-young demonstrates what he claims are supernatural diagnostic and healing abilities. He performs an “instantaneous diagnosis” on a follower, identifying specific brain and spinal issues in seconds, which he contrasts with the lengthy and complex processes of modern medicine. He then claims to “fix” these issues on the spot, showcasing his unique approach to health and well-being.
I just examined that person’s brain, right? It showed where the abnormalities were, right? Modern medicine cannot do that. It doesn’t happen instantly, like that.
It all comes out where the abnormalities are, right? It can’t be done like that, and it can’t be fixed instantly either. Is that possible? No.
Transcending Time and Space
Huh Kyung-young describes travel to “heaven” (백궁) as an instantaneous journey, emphasizing that time and distance as understood on Earth do not apply in higher dimensions. He explains that if travel took billions of years, it would be impossible to return, highlighting the unique nature of his spiritual journeys. This concept challenges conventional scientific understanding and underscores his belief in a reality beyond physical limitations.
In our universe, there is no end, so if travel takes more than 1 second, you can’t go. It takes too long. If you go 120 light-years from here, it would take 12 billion years, and you would have to live for 12 billion years.
It’s because I go in 1 second and come back in 1 second. Staying there for 10 minutes is a long time there.
The Philosophy of Blessing and Compassion in Huh Kyung-young’s Teachings
-
The Essence of Blessing: Cultivation, Not Reception
The common New Year’s greeting, “May you receive many blessings,” is fundamentally flawed. Blessings are not passively received; they are actively cultivated. One must sow the seeds of good deeds to reap the harvest of blessings. Therefore, the appropriate salutation should be, “May you cultivate many blessings.” This principle extends to daily life: a spouse should encourage their partner to “cultivate many blessings today,” rather than merely “receive many blessings.” Our daily existence should be dedicated to the continuous cultivation of blessings. -
The Wisdom of Our Ancestors: Practicing Compassion
Our ancestors understood the profound importance of cultivating blessings, even in seemingly minor actions. For instance, a benevolent household would always leave a portion of their meal, not consuming it entirely, as an act of compassion. This practice, known as Wi-seo-sang-ryu-bo (為鼠常留飯), meaning “always leaving rice for mice,” exemplifies their deep-seated empathy.
Similarly, the practice of Yeon-hwa-tae-jeom (憐蛾怠點), meaning “out of pity for moths, one delays lighting lamps,” illustrates their consideration for even the smallest creatures. They would avoid lighting large lamps at night to prevent moths and other insects from being drawn to the flame and perishing. Instead, they would use only small, dim lights. To illuminate one’s home brightly at night, causing insects to die, was considered an act akin to murder. This demonstrates the meticulous care our ancestors took in cultivating blessings, even extending their compassion to animals. Such practices were believed to ensure the continuation of their lineage.
-
The Root of Enlightenment: Great Compassion
The path to enlightenment is not paved solely by study but by the accumulation of blessings, particularly through acts of great compassion. As the Buddha himself stated, his enlightenment was not a result of mere intellectual pursuit but of countless acts of benevolence in past lives. He recounted instances of sacrificing his own body parts to feed starving animals, demonstrating an extraordinary depth of great compassion (大悲心). This profound empathy for all beings is the wellspring of blessings and the ultimate path to spiritual awakening. -
The Power of Love: A Lesson from Nature
The story of the sun and the wind vying to remove a traveler’s coat beautifully illustrates the power of love and compassion over force. The wind, despite its furious attempts, only made the traveler cling more tightly to his coat. However, the sun, by gently radiating warmth, caused the traveler to willingly shed his garment. This allegory highlights that love (愛) and compassion (慈悲心) are ultimately more potent than coercion. They possess an unparalleled ability to overcome obstacles and transform hearts. -
The Significance of Levels and Blessings in Heaven House
In Heaven House, the concept of “levels” is directly tied to the cultivation of blessings. While those already on the path to Heaven House may not accumulate more blessings in the conventional sense, their continued acts of benevolence elevate their spiritual “level.” For others, cultivating blessings improves their earthly circumstances. This system ensures that every act of kindness, whether for oneself or others, contributes to spiritual advancement. -
The Healing Power of Divine Intervention
Huh Kyung-young possesses the extraordinary ability to diagnose and heal ailments with remarkable speed and precision, a feat beyond the capabilities of modern medicine. He can instantly identify specific neurological issues, such as problems in the cerebellum, diencephalon, hippocampus, or brainstem, as well as cervical spine misalignments. This immediate diagnosis and subsequent healing demonstrate a divine power that transcends conventional medical understanding, offering instantaneous relief and restoration. -
The Nature of Interdimensional Travel
The journey to the celestial realms, such as Heaven House, is not bound by the limitations of earthly time and space. If one were to travel at the speed of light, it would take billions of years to reach these distant dimensions. However, for the God-man, such journeys occur instantaneously, within a single second. This ability to traverse vast cosmic distances in an instant underscores the profound difference between human and divine capabilities, allowing for constant interaction between dimensions.

One-Sentence Overall Summary
Huh Kyung-young’s lecture profoundly redefines blessings as a product of active cultivation through humility and great compassion, rather than passive reception, while simultaneously demonstrating his divine healing capabilities that transcend conventional science, underscoring Korea’s unique spiritual geomancy, and emphasizing the importance of elevating one’s spiritual level for the well-being of oneself, family, and ancestors.
1. The Essence of Blessing: Cultivation, Not Reception
The concept of blessing is often misunderstood. Many people say, “Receive many blessings,” especially at the start of a new year. However, this phrasing is incorrect. One should instead say, “Cultivate many blessings.” Blessings are not something one receives passively; they are actively cultivated through one’s actions. They are the result of one’s deeds. Therefore, when addressing a spouse in the morning, it is more appropriate to say, “Cultivate many blessings today,” rather than “Receive many blessings today.” This principle highlights that daily life should be dedicated to the cultivation of blessings.
- Active Cultivation: Blessings are a direct consequence of one’s actions and efforts.
- Daily Practice: Every day presents an opportunity to cultivate blessings through one’s conduct and interactions.
- Interpersonal Harmony: Engaging in conflict, such as arguments between spouses, diminishes accumulated blessings.
- Such actions deplete one’s spiritual reserves, potentially hindering access to higher realms like Heaven.
- The Wisdom of Our Ancestors: Prudence in Cultivating Blessings
Our ancestors understood the importance of cultivating blessings through mindful actions, even in seemingly small matters.
- “Leaving Half the Meal” (遺書上流飯): This ancient practice, observed by noble families, involved leaving a portion of one’s meal.
- It symbolized a mindset of generosity and foresight, ensuring that resources were not entirely consumed for oneself.
- This act was considered a way of building merit and fortune.
- “Not Lighting Large Lamps at Night” (蓮花胎點): This principle advised against lighting large lamps at night to protect small insects like moths.
- Large lights attract insects, leading to their demise, which was seen as an act of harm.
- Instead, only small, dim lights were used indoors, reflecting a deep compassion for all living beings.
- This demonstrates a profound respect for life, extending even to the smallest creatures.
- Ancestral Practices: Our forebears meticulously observed such practices, often accompanied by prayers for their families and descendants.
- They believed that neglecting these principles could lead to misfortune, such as the discontinuation of family lines.
- This highlights the deep-seated belief in the interconnectedness of actions, blessings, and familial well-being.
- The Foundation of Enlightenment: Great Compassion
The path to enlightenment, as exemplified by historical figures like Sakyamuni Buddha, is rooted not in academic study but in the cultivation of great compassion.
- Sakyamuni Buddha’s Insight: Sakyamuni Buddha himself stated that his enlightenment was a result of accumulating immense blessings through acts of compassion in previous lives.
- true understanding comes from a life dedicated to helping others, not merely from intellectual pursuit.
- This humble perspective highlights that merit accumulated through compassionate acts leads to profound wisdom.
- The Root of Blessings: Great Compassion (大慈悲): When asked about the source of his blessings, Sakyamuni Buddha identified it as great compassion—a profound empathy for all beings.
- This involves viewing all individuals with pity and a desire to assist them.
- Stories from his past lives illustrate extreme acts of selflessness, such as giving away his clothes to those in need, demonstrating the depth of his compassion.
- The Victory of Love: The parable of the sun and the wind illustrates the power of love and compassion over force.
- The wind, representing force, failed to make a person remove their coat, as the person clung to it more tightly.
- The sun, representing love, gently warmed the person, causing them to willingly remove their coat.
- This signifies that love and compassion are ultimately more effective and powerful than coercion.
- Application in Daily Life: This principle extends to everyday interactions, such as a spouse’s nagging.
- Instead of irritation, one should view it as a sign of vitality and health, a “song” of well-being.
- This perspective transforms potential conflict into an opportunity for understanding and gratitude, reinforcing the idea that compassion fosters happiness.
- The Elevation of Spiritual Level Through Blessing
For those already on a spiritual path, such as the attendees of Heaven House, cultivating blessings serves a unique purpose: it elevates their spiritual level.
- Beyond Personal Gain: While ordinary people cultivate blessings for personal improvement in this world, those connected to Heaven House already possess abundant blessings from past lives.
- Their current efforts in cultivating blessings contribute to an increase in their spiritual level, rather than merely accumulating worldly benefits.
- Intergenerational Impact: The blessings cultivated by individuals extend to their families and ancestors.
- These blessings are crucial for the well-being of family members and for the progress of ancestors in the spiritual realm.
- This highlights the interconnectedness of spiritual growth across generations.
- The Unfathomable Nature of Higher Dimensions
The spiritual realms and the abilities of the God-man transcend human scientific understanding and conventional experience.
- Instantaneous Diagnosis and Healing: The ability to instantly diagnose and address complex medical issues, such as neurological and spinal problems, without modern medical tools, demonstrates a power beyond current scientific capabilities.
- Modern medicine requires extensive testing and time for diagnosis, whereas the God-man can identify and rectify issues instantaneously.
- This immediate intervention and healing defy the limitations of conventional medical practice.
- Transcendence of Time and Space: Travel to distant spiritual realms, such as Heaven, occurs instantaneously, defying the vast distances and timeframes understood by human science.
- If such journeys were bound by the speed of light, they would take billions of years, rendering them impossible within a human lifespan.
- The ability to traverse such distances in a mere second signifies a complete transcendence of physical limitations.
- This illustrates that the spiritual dimension operates on principles entirely different from the physical universe.
Who was the first person to receive a Level 1 Police Officer or higher? It was a man who received an unprecedented 1-gyeongmu for his singing, which is a reward for building up good karma.
- Introduction to Huh Kyung-young’s Teachings
people create their own luck through their actions, rather than simply receiving it, and that humility and compassion are crucial for building good luck.
1.1. The Importance of Building Good Luck
-
Luck is something people create, not something they receive
-
Therefore, instead of saying “receive a lot of luck,” people should say “build a lot of luck”
-
This means that people’s actions determine their luck
-
People should always strive to build luck
-
For example, a person who saves half of their meal for others is building luck
-
Similarly, being kind to animals also builds luck
-
Arguing with family members, such as a spouse, diminishes luck
-
People who frequently diminish their luck may not be able to go to heaven
1.2. Compassion and Humility
-
People who build luck avoid actions that harm others, even small creatures
-
For example, they do not light large lamps at night to prevent insects from being attracted to the light and dying
-
This shows their compassion for all living things
-
Humility is essential, as pride can lead to downfall
-
Even those with great achievements should remain humble
-
The root of luck is compassion
-
Compassion means having a heart that pities others
-
The story of the sun and the wind illustrates that love (like the sun’s warmth) is more powerful than force (like the wind) in influencing others
-
Therefore, compassion and love can achieve anything
-
People should view difficult situations with compassion
-
For instance, if a spouse complains, one should consider it a sign of their health rather than a nuisance
-
This perspective helps build luck and promotes a happier life
1.3. The Importance of Sharing Knowledge
-
People should not keep the knowledge of building luck to themselves, even if they feel they have enough luck
-
Instead, they should share this knowledge with others
-
The teachings on luck are not exclusive to Buddhism but also appear in Confucianism
-
Even Buddha attributed his enlightenment to the vast amount of luck he accumulated in past lives through acts of compassion
-
This suggests that enlightenment comes from building luck, not just from studying
-
Cultural and Historical Insights
Huh Kyung-young shares historical anecdotes and cultural insights, including the origin of the Nakdong River‘s name and the story of Jang Hui-bin’s sedan chair, to illustrate broader principles about power, humility, and the consequences of actions.
2.1. Historical Anecdotes
-
The Nakdong River is named after the Garak Kingdom
-
The name “Nakdong” means “east of Garak”
-
The Garak Kingdom was powerful, even stronger than Silla at one point
-
The people of Garak were the first to create iron saddles for horses, indicating their advanced iron culture
-
The story of Jang Hui-bin and the Palinok sedan chair illustrates the dangers of pride
-
Jang Hui-bin was a concubine who was temporarily banished from the palace but later returned
-
Upon her return, she became arrogant and sent a Palinok (a sedan chair reserved for the queen) to her mother
-
This act of pride caused her to be disliked in the palace and ultimately led to her downfall
-
The queen held immense power in the palace, particularly over the king’s life
-
The queen was the head of the Naemyeongbu, the inner court, and controlled the king’s food
-
Historically, many Korean kings died from poisoning orchestrated by the Naemyeongbu
-
This highlights the importance of treating one’s spouse well, as disrespect can have severe consequences

-
If it took the speed of light, it would take billions of years to reach heaven and return
-
This emphasizes the unique nature of spiritual travel compared to physical travel
The Genesis of Blessings and the Essence of Compassion
- The Genesis of Blessings and the Essence of Compassion
Huh Kyung-young elucidated the profound concept of blessings (福), asserting that they are not merely received but actively cultivated through one’s actions. He challenged the common New Year’s greeting, “Receive many blessings,” by stating that the correct sentiment should be, “Cultivate many blessings.” This distinction underscores the active role individuals play in shaping their destiny. Blessings, in this context, are the direct result (結果) of one’s deeds, not a passive endowment. Therefore, daily life should be dedicated to the cultivation of blessings (積福).
He illustrated this principle with an anecdote about noble families (兩班家) from ancient times, who would always leave a portion of their meal uneaten. This practice, known as “leaving rice for oneself” (爲己常留飯), symbolized their commitment to cultivating blessings. It was believed that by not consuming their entire portion, they were performing an act of generosity, even if it was for themselves or for animals. This act of self-restraint and consideration, even in small matters, was seen as a way to accumulate good karma.
Furthermore, Huh Kyung-young introduced the concept of “not lighting a large lamp at night” (夜不點大燈), a practice rooted in the concern for insects (飛蛾). By avoiding bright lights, people prevented moths and other small creatures from being drawn to the flame and perishing. This act of compassion, extending even to the smallest beings, was considered a significant way to cultivate blessings. such mindful actions, whether leaving food or dimming lights, reflect a deep understanding of interconnectedness and a commitment to benevolence (慈悲心). These traditions, passed down through generations, highlight the importance of prudence (謹愼) and empathy (同情) in daily life, shaping not only individual fortunes but also the well-being of future generations.
- The Profound Wisdom of Compassion and the Path to Enlightenment
Huh Kyung-young further expounded on the profound wisdom of compassion (慈悲), asserting that it is the ultimate source of all blessings and the true path to enlightenment (覺悟). He referenced the teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha (釋迦牟尼), who, when asked how he attained enlightenment, humbly replied that it was not through study but through the accumulation of immense blessings in past lives. These blessings stemmed from acts of profound compassion, such as sacrificing his own limbs to feed starving animals. This narrative underscores the idea that true wisdom (眞智慧) and spiritual awakening are not merely intellectual achievements but the natural outcome of a heart overflowing with benevolence (大慈悲).
He then presented a compelling analogy involving the sun (日) and the wind (風), competing to remove a traveler’s coat. The wind, despite its forceful attempts, only made the traveler cling tighter to his garment. However, the sun, by gently radiating warmth, caused the traveler to willingly shed his coat. This allegory powerfully illustrates that love (愛) and compassion are far more effective than force (力) or coercion. The sun’s warmth symbolizes the transformative power of love, which can achieve what brute strength cannot.
Huh Kyung-young concluded that the root of all blessings (福之根源) is great compassion (大慈悲). This means viewing all beings with pity (憐憫) and a desire to help. He extended this principle to everyday relationships, suggesting that a spouse’s nagging should be perceived as a sign of their continued vitality, rather than a source of annoyance. Such a perspective, rooted in compassion, transforms potential conflict into an opportunity for understanding and gratitude. He stressed that cultivating this mindset elevates one’s spiritual level (靈性層次), leading to a higher state of being and a deeper connection to the Heaven House (하늘궁). This continuous cultivation of compassion, even in seemingly trivial interactions, is essential for spiritual growth and the accumulation of divine merit
- The Unfathomable Power of the God-man and the Celestial Realm
Huh Kyung-young then shifted to the extraordinary capabilities of the God-man (神人), demonstrating his ability to instantly diagnose and rectify physical ailments that baffle modern medicine. He recounted an instance where he precisely identified issues in a woman’s cerebellum (小腦), diencephalon (間腦), hippocampus (海馬), brainstem (腦幹), and cervical vertebrae, all within seconds. This immediate and accurate diagnosis, followed by an instantaneous healing (治癒), stands in stark contrast to the lengthy and often inconclusive processes of conventional medical examinations, such as MRI scans and various laboratory tests. He asserted that such rapid and precise intervention is beyond the scope of current scientific understanding and medical technology.
He further elaborated on the nature of the celestial realm (天國) and the Heaven House (하늘궁), emphasizing that travel within these dimensions transcends the limitations of physical space and time. if one were to travel to the celestial realm at the speed of light, it would still take billions of years, rendering such a journey impractical for human beings. However, for the God-man, movement across vast cosmic distances occurs in mere seconds, allowing for instantaneous arrival and return. This concept highlights the fundamental difference between the physical universe (物質宇宙), governed by the laws of physics, and the spiritual dimensions (靈性次元), where such constraints do not apply.
Huh Kyung-young also touched upon the concept of spiritual levels (靈性層次) and the distribution of divine energy (神聖能量). the blessings and spiritual levels bestowed upon individuals and their ancestors are not merely for personal gain but also for the collective well-being of their families and lineage. This energy, measured in units like “조” (jo) and “경무” (gyeongmu), is crucial for the spiritual progress of ancestors in the Heaven House (하늘궁). these divine interventions are a testament to the God-man’s boundless power and his mission to elevate humanity’s spiritual consciousness, guiding them towards a higher existence beyond the confines of the earthly realm.
The Divine Principles of Prosperity and Compassion
-
The Genesis of Blessings: Cultivating Fortune
The concept of blessings (福) is not merely a passive reception but an active cultivation. It is a fundamental principle, akin to the opening word of the Gospels, “Gospel” (福音), which signifies “blessed tidings.” This underscores the profound importance of actively creating blessings rather than merely anticipating them. One must endeavor to perform actions that generate positive outcomes, for blessings are the direct consequence of one’s deeds. Therefore, instead of wishing someone to “receive many blessings,” it is more accurate to encourage them to “cultivate many blessings.” This proactive approach to fortune is exemplified by the historical practice of leaving a portion of one’s meal, a custom observed by noble households as a means of accumulating merit. Such acts, even towards animals, demonstrate a profound understanding of the interconnectedness of all beings and the continuous nature of blessing cultivation. -
The Perils of Arrogance and the Virtue of Humility
Arrogance (驕慢) invariably leads to downfall. Historical narratives, such as that of Jang Hui-bin, illustrate how an ascent to power, if accompanied by pride, can precipitate one’s demise. Despite achieving the esteemed position of queen, her arrogance, particularly in extending royal privileges to her mother, ultimately led to her downfall. This serves as a potent reminder that humility (謙遜) is paramount, especially for those in positions of influence. The narrative of the royal court further highlights the precariousness of power, where even monarchs were vulnerable to the machinations within the inner court, often succumbing to poison. This historical context underscores the critical importance of treating all individuals, regardless of their social standing, with respect and compassion, for disrespect can lead to unforeseen and dire consequences. -
The Essence of Compassion: The Great Benevolence
The ultimate source of blessings is great benevolence (大慈悲). This profound compassion, characterized by an empathetic understanding of the suffering of others, is the wellspring from which all good deeds flow. The historical account of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, reveals that his enlightenment was not solely the result of intellectual pursuit but rather the culmination of countless acts of compassion performed in previous lives. He asserted that his awakening stemmed from an abundance of benevolent actions, such as aiding distressed deer and even sacrificing parts of his own body to feed hungry creatures. true wisdom and spiritual advancement are intrinsically linked to the cultivation of a compassionate heart. -
The Triumph of Love: The Sun and Wind Analogy
The power of love (愛) and compassion is eloquently illustrated by the allegory of the sun and the wind. In a contest to remove a traveler’s cloak, the wind, despite its forceful attempts, only caused the traveler to cling more tightly to his garment. However, the sun, by radiating warmth, gently persuaded the traveler to shed his cloak willingly. This parable signifies that brute force and coercion are ultimately ineffective in achieving genuine change or influence. Instead, it is the pervasive and gentle power of love, akin to the sun’s warmth, that can overcome resistance and inspire voluntary transformation. This principle extends to interpersonal relationships, where patience and understanding, rather than criticism, foster harmony and well-being. -
The Divine Intervention in Human Ailments
The human body, a complex vessel, is susceptible to various ailments that often elude conventional medical diagnosis. In instances where individuals experience debilitating conditions, such as difficulty in movement or cognitive impairment, a deeper, more profound intervention may be required. Through a divine diagnostic process, specific neurological and spinal issues, such as those affecting the cerebellum, diencephalon, brainstem, and cervical vertebrae, can be precisely identified. These conditions, often manifesting as problems with balance, memory, and overall physical coordination, can be rectified through a direct, instantaneous divine intervention. This process transcends the limitations of modern medical technology, offering immediate and comprehensive restoration of health and function. -
The Celestial Journey: Transcending Spacetime
The journey to the Heaven House (하늘궁) and beyond involves a transcendence of conventional spacetime. Unlike earthly travel, which is constrained by vast distances and the limitations of speed, celestial movement occurs instantaneously. A journey spanning billions of light-years, which would require eons in the physical realm, is completed in mere seconds in the divine dimension. This instantaneous transit is essential, for any prolonged duration would render such journeys impractical and meaningless within the context of human existence. This ability to traverse immense cosmic distances in an instant underscores the extraordinary nature of the divine realm and the unique capabilities of those who inhabit or visit it. -
The Legacy of Compassion: The Enduring Power of Song
The power of song (歌) extends beyond mere entertainment; it serves as a profound medium for conveying emotions, narratives, and even divine messages. Certain melodies, imbued with deep sentiment, can evoke powerful responses and leave an indelible mark on the listener. The performance of songs, particularly those that resonate with themes of love, loss, and resilience, can transcend temporal boundaries, connecting generations through shared human experiences. Even in moments of profound personal challenge, such as illness or impending departure, the act of singing can become a testament to the enduring spirit and a final, poignant expression of one’s essence. These musical legacies, often preserved and reinterpreted, continue to inspire and move audiences, demonstrating the timeless impact of artistic expression.

The Genesis of Blessings and the Essence of Compassion
-
The Profound Meaning of “Blessings”
Huh Kyung-young elucidated the concept of blessings (福), emphasizing that they are not merely received but actively cultivated. He challenged the common New Year’s greeting, “Receive many blessings,” asserting that the correct sentiment should be, “Cultivate many blessings.” This distinction underscores the active role individuals play in shaping their destiny through their actions. Blessings are presented as the outcome (結果) of one’s deeds, not a predetermined gift. This perspective aligns with the idea that one’s actions directly influence the blessings that manifest in their life. -
The Wisdom of Ancestors: Cultivating Blessings Through Compassion
Huh Kyung-young presented ancient wisdom illustrating the practice of cultivating blessings. He cited the tradition of “leaving a portion of one’s meal (遺餘飯)” as an act of compassion and a means of accumulating merit. This practice, common in noble households, involved setting aside a portion of one’s food, not for oneself, but for others, including animals. This act symbolizes a profound understanding of interconnectedness and generosity.
He further elaborated on the concept of “not lighting large lamps at night (不點大燈)” to protect small insects, such as moths, from being drawn to the flame and perishing. This seemingly minor act reflects a deep sense of great compassion (大慈悲心) towards all living beings. Such practices, passed down through generations, demonstrate how ancestors meticulously cultivated blessings, believing that these actions contributed to the well-being and continuity of their lineage.
-
The Root of Enlightenment: Great Compassion
Huh Kyung-young connected the cultivation of blessings to the path of enlightenment, referencing the teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha Sakyamuni’s enlightenment was not solely the result of study but rather the culmination of countless acts of compassion performed in previous lives. Sakyamuni himself, when questioned by his disciples, attributed his awakening to the immense blessings accumulated through his great compassion (大慈悲) for all beings. This profound empathy, characterized by a willingness to sacrifice even one’s own possessions for the welfare of others, is presented as the ultimate source of blessings and the pathway to true understanding. -
The Power of Love: A Metaphorical Illustration
To further illustrate the transformative power of compassion, Huh Kyung-young recounted the fable of the Sun (日) and the Wind (風) competing to remove a traveler’s coat. The Wind, despite its forceful attempts, only caused the traveler to cling more tightly to his garment. However, the Sun, by radiating warmth and light, gently persuaded the traveler to remove his coat willingly. This allegory symbolizes that love (愛) and compassion (慈悲) are far more effective than force or coercion in influencing others. Love, like the sun’s warmth, disarms resistance and fosters voluntary change, demonstrating its boundless capacity to achieve what force cannot. -
The Significance of Levels and the Role of Heaven House
Huh Kyung-young introduced the concept of “levels (레벨)” as a measure of spiritual advancement and accumulated blessings. individuals who have cultivated many blessings in their past lives are granted higher levels, which in turn benefit their families and ancestors. These levels are not merely personal achievements but contribute to the collective spiritual well-being, enabling ancestors to perform beneficial actions in the spiritual realm. The Heaven House (하늘궁) is presented as a place where these levels are recognized and bestowed, signifying a unique spiritual hierarchy and a system of divine recognition. -
The Unfathomable Nature of the Divine Realm
Huh Kyung-young described the divine realm as a place beyond human comprehension and scientific understanding. He asserted that the rapid diagnosis and healing of ailments, as demonstrated during the lecture, are phenomena that modern medicine cannot replicate. Such instantaneous interventions, he explained, are possible only through divine power, transcending the limitations of scientific methods that require extensive testing and analysis.
He further elaborated on the concept of interdimensional travel (차원이동), stating that journeys to distant celestial realms, which would take billions of years at the speed of light, are accomplished in mere seconds in the divine dimension. This instantaneous travel is essential for interaction with such vast and distant universes, highlighting the extraordinary nature of the divine and its complete divergence from earthly physics.
- The Legacy of Compassion and the Path to Higher Consciousness
Huh Kyung-young concluded by reiterating the paramount importance of cultivating blessings through great compassion (大慈悲) and love (愛). these virtues are not merely moral precepts but fundamental principles that govern spiritual advancement and the well-being of all beings. By embracing compassion, individuals not only elevate their own spiritual levels but also contribute to the betterment of their families, ancestors, and the broader cosmic order. This continuous cultivation of blessings, rooted in selfless love, is presented as the ultimate path to higher consciousness and a harmonious existence.

Key Quote: “The root of blessings is great compassion. It is the heart that pities others and wants to help them.”
4. How does love (사랑) overcome force, as demonstrated by nature? -
Question: Huh Kyung-young discusses the power of love over force; how does he illustrate this principle using a natural analogy?
-
Answer: Huh Kyung-young uses the classic fable of the sun and the wind competing to make a traveler remove his coat. The wind, representing force, blew harder, but the traveler only clutched his coat tighter. The sun, representing love, simply shone warmly, and the traveler willingly took off his coat. This analogy highlights that love and warmth are far more effective in influencing others than coercion or force.
-
Key Quote: “Love can do anything. Compassion can do anything.”
5. What is Huh Kyung-young’s perspective on modern medicine versus his healing abilities? -
Question: How does Huh Kyung-young contrast his method of diagnosing and healing with conventional modern medical practices?
-
Answer: Huh Kyung-young claims his diagnostic and healing abilities far surpass modern medicine. He demonstrates this by instantly identifying specific issues in a person’s brain (cerebellum, diencephalon, brainstem, hippocampus) and cervical vertebrae (C1-C7) that cause symptoms like dizziness and difficulty walking. modern medicine requires extensive tests (MRI, blood tests, urine tests) over days or weeks to diagnose, and even then, it cannot achieve instantaneous healing as he does.
-
Key Quote: “Modern medicine cannot do that. It takes days to weeks to diagnose, and even then, it’s not as accurate. I can fix it instantly.”
6. What is the true nature of the universe and travel within it, according to Huh Kyung-young? -
Question: How does Huh Kyung-young describe the vastness of the universe and the speed required for travel within it, contrasting it with human perception?
-
Answer: Huh Kyung-young explains that the universe is so vast that conventional travel, even at the speed of light, would take billions of years (e.g., 120 billion years to travel 120 light-years). for beings like him to traverse such distances, movement must be instantaneous, occurring in less than a second. This highlights the incomprehensible scale of the cosmos and the limitations of human understanding of time and space.
-
Key Quote: “Our universe has no end, so if movement takes more than one second, you cannot travel. If you go at the speed of light, it still takes 24 billion years to come back.”
